Topic: Ōkami HD

I want.

So much.

That trailer alone has convinced me to buy a PS3.

And NOW they make the controls optional, lol.
I wonder if they'll do anything for WiiU....Okamiden HD maybe?

This COULD have been the best thing ever on Wii U. This game was MADE for a touch screen and stylus. Dual analogs were the biggest complaint in the first place... pointer controls helped a lot but were still just a LITTLE bit unreliable. Touch screen (the action stops while you're painting, anyway!) would have made this the absolute definitive version of the game. It's a shame.

I'll stick to my wii version and play it on my wii U

Hoping this comes to Nintendo eShop on Wii U at some point. The announcement alone has given me no choice but to buy Okami on Wii, so I'll be playing that in a few days' time.

I wouldn't be suprised to see it land on Wii U eventually - the original was on PS2 first and then Wii later, so maybe that'll happen here too.

Even if not, it's good to know that Capcom is still thinking about the Okami franchise. Perhaps we'll see further entries along the line.

And by the time this version is released, we'll get 3 Nintendo remakes, 7 other HD remakes, 100 ports that are completely worthless and about 3 billion versons of Cave Story.

Part of me wants to think this is a possibility but Capcom loves to entice fans and then take a crap(com) all over them. I'm expecting a "Here's Okami HD, no immediate plans for the franchise" type situation where "no immediate plans" means Okami is going to join Maximo, Power Stone, Viewtiful Joe, and plenty other franchises in purgatory.

That is such a lie. The PS2 version was not THAT blurry. At all. Unless you have a crap TV. I hate how companies and editors always exaggerate differences between HD and SD. Next, I'll see a comparison between Melee and SSB4 and people try to make Melee a blurry hot mess (when I remember it being crisp and clear).

That's awesome. Unfortunately there's someone to think just as irrationally about every game, so according to that logic every game should be re-released about a dozen times.
