Topic: What was your favourite cartoon series as a kid?

I had a whole load of 'em, mainly from Cartoon Network and CBBC. Now that they've stopped most of the good shows on Cartoon Network (and even Nickolodeon that I watch at times), I think cartoons have gone waaaaay down the drain.

Tom & Jerry was a favorite as a kid, but my all time favorite cartoon is Courage the Cowardly Dog.

/me shudders.

If Courage the Cowardly Dog is the one about the purple dog, then that show scared me so much when I was small! The whole monster/demon thing just didn't ring well with me.

This pretty much sums up a lot of them. I remember there was a 2 hour block of Duck Tales, Chip & Dale, Tale Spin and Darkwing Duck I watched every single day after school from 3-5. Also when i got older I loved Beast Wars and New Adventures of Superman and Batman. Inspector Gadget was also a good one. Now I really want to watch some of these old cartoons. New ones these days are just not the same. Either that or I'm living in a World of nostalgia unwilling to accept that anything compares lol

I believe the two hour block of Disney cartoons was called the Disney Afternoon.

I used to dig Spongebob. Now the show is awful, but the older episodes are still quite good.

Kid_A

I was a Looney Tunes kind of kid, but I also loved Ren & Stimpy (still do!)
