Twenty Ten!!!!! Seriously it makes more sense, but some crazy people will be calling it two thousand ten. Well, they'll change by twenty-one hundred, at least.
And I think there was a gigantic thread before, I might have been in it too...

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

My thoughts exactly.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I think we'll start out calling it two thousand ten, but then we'll get tired of saying the long name and call it twenty ten.

I'm just going to call it ten. Who needs twenty when you have ten?

Actually we should be calling this year twenty-0-nine. There's Nineteen-0-9, it should be like that!looks at calendarWHOA, it's not long now! What happened to all that time?

That's actually quite brief, Rav. Maybe I'll just stick with that.
@Starkiller - I'm not crazy. I'm sane. How does calling it two thousand ten classify me as crazy?

Yep, we're starting over, from here on out, the year 2000 is now 0, this is year 9, any years preceding 0, are negative integers.

In French you say the whole number, so there it would definitely be deux mille dix; I think the same is true in Japan (though they might say individual numbers like 2-0-1-0, I cannot recall). When I had a room in Paris it was trois cent dix sept or whatever not "three-seventeen" as I would say otherwise.
Different strokes for different folks! Twenty-ten for me.
