Overrated: Final Fantasy VII, Ocarina of Time, Halo, Chrono Trigger, Grand Theft Auto, Twilight Princess, Bioshock, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Tomb Raider, Jade Empire, and wait for it... Shenmue. Not saying any of these games are bad by the way... except Warrior Within and Tomb Raider, they are bad, lol.
Underrated: Okami, Chrono Cross, Panzer Dragoon series, Wind Waker, Soul Blazer, Parasite Eve, Deus Ex, Einhander, Guardian Heroes, Mega Man Zero series, Killer 7, God Hand, Grim Fandango, Rocket Knight Adventures, Prince of Persia (2008), Alundra, Klonoa series, Viewtiful Joe.
Honorable mention for "Most Overrated 'Underrated Series'" goes to Mega Man Legends.

Overrated: New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I'm surprised no one said this yet. It's a good game, but not the best thing on Wii. Sonic Unleashed: This, on the other hand, is terrible. On Wii, at least. Oh, and @Moomoo? You are great! Finally someone agrees with me! Oh, and Windwaker. Windwaker is overrated, too. Too easy to get hopelessly lost!
Underrated: Sonic's 3D outings. Legend of Spyro trilogy: Just simple fun and one of the nicest main characters and plot I've ever seen in a video game. Oh, and Majora's Mask. Time limit's actually not that big a deal.
Overrated: Grand Theft Auto Series, Uncharted 2, Rondo of Blood, and Twisted Metal
Underatted: Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom, Bruiser and Scratch, Kirby 64, Super Mario Sunshine, The Tower of Druaga, The Return of Ishtar, Gaplus, Clayfighter, Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA), Star Force, Earthworm Jim 3D, Majora's Mask, The Nightmare of Druaga, Zelda 2, Sonic Unleashed, The Spyro Series, Tomb Raider series (Not Because of the Protaganist), and The Crash Bandicoot Series.
Overrated: NSMBW, Little Big Planet, Halo 3 and WoW.
Underrated: Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. I only heard of this game just recent and it's fun as hell, even though there are some glitches and bugs. But there's patches for that. GO BUY IT!

@NintendoFTW It's just my opinion. I know lots of people love the games, but I've just never seen what everyone else sees in them. I know they are technically good games and if I had to play them I could find some fun in them, but I just don't think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread like a lot of people do. Hence why I think they are overrated, not bad or useless.
