Well, today is Melbourne Cup Day in Australia, but it's also my 22nd Birthday (just check my signature for details)!
I was wondering if anybody else has a birthday that coincides with a public holiday or event (such as Christmas Day; St. Valentine's Day; All Hallows' Eve, hereafter referred to as Halloween; even the mysterious 29th of February). If so, what do you do to celebrate the occasion? I myself dress-up as the rear end of Epona every time my birthday falls on a Tuesday...well, not really, but you get the idea...

My birthday happens to fall on the holiday known as "The Greatest Day in the History of the Universe." Coincidentaly enough, this holiday did not start until my birth. Weird how things like that happen, amirite?

My birthday's on the 21st of December -- better known as the first day of winter (when it's not on the 22nd, anyway), and also as the day the world's supposed to end in 2012. Coincidentally, i'm'a be turning 30 that day... it's gonna be one helluva party, that's all I'm sayin'. :3

The only historical event that I can think of is on July 27th in the year 1940, Bugs Bunny's first cartoon "A Wild Hare" was first released. I hope that counts because I know of nothing else that happened on my birthday.
