I usually shave once a day, unless I'm lazy. I don't mind it, but I feel dirty when it gets too long, I don't know why.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
I pluck each individual hair off my chin with my toenail clippers. It works surprisingly well, despite it being painful. As for pubic hair, I just let it grow wild.
A little too much info, but oh well.
Just let it happen.

The back. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. That's exactly wut I meant! I'm being lazy right now, so I just trim things up a bit. I plan on shaving sometime in the spring, so I can look young and fresh, like a bulbous, slightly off-color tulip flapping optimistically in the April breeze.
A weeks growth of my beard is too much for an electric razor. It's not real thick, but like wire bristles. The only way to get a smooth shave has been a Mach 3 with gel, cheap disposables are painful and usually draw blood. I would love to be able to grow a nice beard and mustache, but my facial hair is really light and stiff. After six weeks or so it looks like crap and itches like hell... so I usually shave it once a week, cause I like the 5 o'clock shadow look, maybe more if I have projects at work where I need to look presentable.
"Put. That. Coffee. Down. Coffee's for closers only."
I have a trimmer that can be adjusted to be used for stubble to a full on beard. I tend to maintain it between stubble and a short beard, trimming perhaps every 3-4 days.
The only part I don't shave it my chin I kind of like the beard I have on my chin now. However, if it gets too long it starts itching and irritating so I shave it off every two weeks or so then just rinse and repeat the process.
I usually use the cheaper ones which I perhaps should quit doing because I scratch myself often while shaving. Then again, €20,- for a packet of razor blades from Wilkinson, Gilette etc. feels like I'm ripped.
I don't really like to shave, but when I do I use a Gillette Fusion. Mostly, though, I use the trimmer on my Schick Quattro to trim my beard and mustache once they get too long and/or annoying...
"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."
Every two or three days, my beard is also pretty sparse, but I'm glad I can grow it and the 'stache.
I use a Philips battery-operated shaver with two round "floating" heads. I don't really like razors because I tend to get ingrown hairs and if it's too close a shave it's a nightmare; even with the electric I'll get one or two a month. Moustache and goatee trimming with a pair of plain old barber scissors that came with my cordless trimmer which is what I've used to cut the hair on my head for the past nine years.
Shave bout 2 - 3 days, just use a disposable razor.

I shave probably every other time i shower, though i'll go longer without if i know for a fact i won't be going anywhere or i'll be wearing pants/long sleeves [read: if it's cold outside]. I love the Mach 3, but the blades are so expensive i normally just use disposables, and i don't quite remember why, but i couldn't stand the Venus when i tried it -- i think the way the blades are set up trapped hair oddly.

Shave regularly. Get Bored. Grow Beard. Love it. Get annoyed. Shave it. Continue for a while. Get bored. Grow Beard. Love it. Get annoyed. Shave......... Rinse and repeat for the rest of my damn life. D:
Holy mackeral...maybe we're brothers from another mother. Every day it's another similarity with you.
I almost always shave my neck though even if I'm letting my other facial hair grow out. Sometimes I'll do the goatee. Sometimes I'll do the sideburns and a thin beard at my jawline with the goatee. Sometimes I'll just use clippers and keep a short beard. Sometimes I'll let it just grow all out. Never just a mustache or sideburns though, blecht.
Oh and I use 3-bladed disposable razors. Gillette is my favorite brand of razor and shaving cream (blue-ish green colored bottle ONLY)
