I've watched every AVGN thats hes put out and in the past year the quality has continued to decrease. Sure he still has his comedic moments and decent reviews, but now that hes mainstream, hes lost a lot of his touch, I'm woundering who else has noticed this. Also while his quality has decreased, Storm Dain (Look him up on Youtube) has vastly improved in my opinion. So chat away!
I just never cared for AVGN. He was funny at first, but once the novelty wore off, I stopped watching. I do like Famicom Dojo on YouTube though. I still love it when the guy in the Twin Famicom video starts shooting the guy in the head with the cartridge eject button.
AVGN is awesome. and James Rolfe makes real homemade quality films too. you should go watch those. Beer Man is the best. and were is dark g? not in a bad way.

so what? can't you accept that he doesn't like AVGN?
I still enjoy him. He's like all the humorists of this kind: hit and miss. Some are phenomenal (Superman 64), some not so much (Street Fighter 2010).
Wow, in my opinion his Superman 64 review was one of his worst reviews I hope AVGN will find a way to make better "reviews" (they are only satirical) again Does anyone here watch the Nostalgia Critic? His reviews somehow never disappointed me and

[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
Prosody: I wish they didn't comment on everything with personal insults as well, but it for a guy who gets money more cussing at video games, so in a way its hard not to make fun of him. But we all know its bad
Also I love how the Nolstagia Critic has kept me interetsed in his reviews ever since he first started!
I find him quite funny when he's just talking over footage. When he goes into RAAAEG MODE and starts jumping around the place and pretending to break stuff, he stops being entertaining and starts being really, really annoying. And he swears too much (and I'm saying that as a fan of Zero Punctuation).

I enjoy AVGN still, the only parts that I don't like so much is when he has acting and cgi segments during the review such as Bugs Bunny or Batman. Those parts detract from the review for me and most of the time are not funny either, the episode with the Nerdy Turd was a complete failure and is the only time I have been tempted to turn the video off before it has finished. In general though I still think he is good and I think people are just suffering from the same "He's rubbish now he's popular" syndrome that seems to affect anyone or anything that gains sustained success.
@Stevie, I do kind of agree with you there. It seems people are "too cool" to like him now that he's popular. I liked him then and I still like him now. Yeah, the humor he comes up with sometimes is "annoying" for lack of a better word, but once you get used to it, it's all pretty funny.
I hope AVGN will find a way to make better "reviews" (they are only satirical) again
And yet I can totally relate to every point he makes of those games that I have played. And those games that I haven't played, I can see where he is coming from. "Yeah. That would be really annoying" I think to myself when he explains something.
There are times where I know he's exaggerating to make a joke though. But these are few and far between.
You may say he's satirical but I think there's still plenty of truth in what he says. Oh, and I don't like it much either when he acts instead of reviewing. That can get annoying.
EDIT: I enjoyed his recent Ninja Gaiden review. I never played Ninja Gaiden so I can't tell when he is exaggerating for the point of making the game seem harder than it actually is. Being hit into pitfalls all the time, respawning enemies, bad restart points, impossible to dodge attacks... I can see the points that he makes. I hate that kinda stuff too.
I like him. He pulls out really obscure games at times like the Little Red Riding Hood game. The Super Pitfall review was one the best ones he has done recently. Probably my favorite segment is his Batman review in particular on Batman Forever.

let me say it like that, he should put better jokes into his reviews again that's what I mean when I want to see normal game reviews I go to gametrailers or here
