As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
It's difficult to make a universal list, as regions have different taboo words. The best thing to do is just calmly write a post when responding to someone, even if they are not so polite.
Most of the time if I see a profane word, I just change it and leave it at that.

Fair point. I didn't realize some words we take for granted in NA were big nopes elsewhere until I started reading some books by British authors. Not to mention that some pronunciations are wildly different.
I completely stayed out of the JonTron thing. That comment section was almost as bad as a normal comment section on IGN.
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
I've used bugger a few times, thankfully it isn't on the list (nor should it be).
I went to a fairly conservative primary school. They made be write lines for saying "well bugger me" when I went to turn on the computer only to find out it was switched off at the wall. So I think it's fair to assume that bugger is on someone's list somewhere.
That's the problem with those sort of filters. They ignore context entirely, ignore intent entirely and at the same time don't pick up misspellings or (oops there we go) using "polite" words. It's impossible to censor everything and in trying to censor some things you'll accidentally censor other things that weren't meant to be censored.
Also, feel free to use bugger. That other word I edited out your post? Yeah that one does trip the filter.
How is one ok and the other not? Very strange given the origins. The word that's fine on this thread that you didn't censor was originally a slur against gays. The word that's not fine originally meant someone born outside of a marriage.
Not complaining I just think it's funny where the lines are drawn
@Priceless_Spork Annie has a whole other meaning here in the UK!
I used to say ‘bloody hell’ from time to time, but some folks wasn’t overly struck on it. I then moved onto ‘blooming heck’, which has - so far - not been a problem.
The mods here are usually pretty reasonable about letting the community function freely, so I just try to avoid words that'll trigger the profanity filter when I can. The execution isn't flawless, but it really is a nice little community. It's so rare to find a gaming community of this size online where there isn't some sort of thought policing or infuriating abuse of moderator power going on.
The only thing that I find odd is that when "god" and "damn" are used together, it's the former that gets censored (usually to Arceus), and not the latter. I always figured the latter would be the infringing part in that context.
