Topic: Got my DSi XL, it is awesome!

I love the huge screens. I can't wait to get some Nintendo Points so I can download Dr Mario and PictoBits.

I got the Burgandy, which color did everyone else get?

Got a burgundy one. BestBuy didn't have them on display, so I guessed. It's nice, and the large screen is awesome. It's not even like portable gaming.

I got the Burgundy as well. When I opened the box I was like WOW! This sytem is HUGE! I absolutely love the large screens. Funny thing, after playing with this and Warioware for a few hours and then going to pick up my regular DSi, now that thing looks down right puny! And it feels like it weighs almost nothing.

I got the bronze one and its really great and loving it too!!
The screen looks bigger and the stylus looks like a pen now.
RIght now im playing Space Invaders 2 and Phantasy Star 0.

Hm, never thought about getting an XL. Since there is NO extra bonuses for it and it just takes up more space, I dont get the point...

so the screens show no pixelation?

Would it be worth the investment? I have a DSi. I can't believe they released it only less than a year after releasing the DSi...

Bigger screens, wider viewing angle. Photo Dojo is a good example; I cannot imagine trying to play a game like that with two people using a regular DSi.

I don't see any loss of resolution either, looks great. Playing games like mahjong or the paper diorama game is a lot easier with the bigger screen size. I really wouldn't consider a regular DSi/Lite, but then I also don't carry it around everywhere...

@pikmaniac02 I didn't notice any pixelation. If you want bigger screens, I say go for it.

I was already sure that I'm not getting it, and investing in Wii games (I don't have any DS) but now I'm again not sure lol.

I'm thinking of getting one, I don't travel very often so size isn't a problem. I do have a DSi though... on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "don't even waste time thinking about getting one" and 10 being "go out and it now!" what would all of you suggest?

I had a DSi, and I think the XL is a lot better. I would say a 9 for most people, for me it was a 10.

The big screen sounds awesome, and I do want a DSi. But the main point of the DS (at least to me) is to take in the car or subway. So I don't know if i should get one or not.

I really want this, but I just don't have the money, and I have a large amount of games I want to get. Besides, I'd rather just wait a year for the next Nintendo handheld, even though I don't own a regular DSi.

Well, it's not something that can easily fit into a pocket. If you have a large coat, it would probably fit into a pocket with enough room for comfort. But a pair of Levis? It would be an uncomfortable fit at best. This is good if, like me, you carry a bag or backpack with you to work every day

Getting mine today? I think, I will enjoy it despite all the complaints I've heard from my sister's SDK friends.
