I'm guessing Nintendo must be desperately trying to finish releasing all the Smash amiibo for some reason (either so they can use them in an upcoming game or clear the decks for another series of amiibo for Christmas- possibly Pokemon?), they have one run then onto the next phase which is causing shortages. I personally don't think their intentionally sitting on stock or under producing, it's just they've been far too cautious fearing stock sitting on shelves and now don't have a quick, viable way to manufacture more. They should of had more time between releases and not split themselves so thinly between so many models.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
My experience with Nintendo Customer service has been positive, each time I've been put through to a native english speaker (so I don't have to ask them to repeat themselves a dozen times while trying to understand their thick accents, which is a real problem for me on the phone) and they've been able to solve my issues.
The only experience I have with Nintendo Customer Service was when my sister got charged twice for something she bought on the eShop. Nintendoms service kept telling her to go to the bank, who kept saying it was on Nintendo's end. Pretty sure she eventually gave up.
On the flipside, The fact that I have little personal experience with their customer service is evidence of how little most players even need it.
You can maybe explain the US shortage by the mysterious West Coast strike, but that doesn't explain why Europe is getting shafted with amiibos left and right! But then again Nintendo never cared about Europe...
I just wanted Shulk, that's all I wanted, but I'm not paying scalpers 40+ quid for him!
Iwata: Hello Everyone, This Is Satoru Iwata From Nintendo. We Cannot Comprehend These Problems With The Amiibo Stock, However We Will Begin To Fix The Problem By Sending 2 Marth Amiibo To A Store At 5 A.M., Please Understand, And Thank You All!
I've pretty much given up on Amiibo's. It's just not worth the headaches anymore. It was fun at first but now it's just stressful and frustrating. This whole Amiibo farce has left a very bad taste and my mouth. This SHOULD have been fixed by now. There's just no excuse at this point.

Well they just sent them all to Australia. All of them. So that's where all of your Amiibo went.

Man I think the world apocolypse is gonna happen when the inevitable Pokemon range launches. Who wants to join me in my bunker?
As a man who got all the Pokemon Rumble NFCs and all but one of the Pokemon amiibo (missing Greninja), I say it's too late to save me.
