I also got Toki Tori and I have to say, I love the music and the graphics look as colorful as a GBA game.

Favorite Games: Sonic CD, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, and Call of Duty: Black Ops, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, and Mega Man 5.

Metroid II: Return of Samus
I loved the original Metroid, even though drawing your own map as you went along was a bit of a pain....Not exactly looking forward to doing the same thing all over again...But if I dont, I know i'll get completely lost and the Black & White graphics aren't going to make it any easier!

I had to resort to a walkthrough on the original Metroid, but I got through Metroid II just fine on my own wits.

The game world is a bit more linear, and while it may limit exploration somewhat, I think it helps to keep the game playable for us not born into the 8 bit era (when not having maps was commonplace).

Super C. So happy I finally get a Contra classic game on the 3DS. I was very disappointed in the emulation used in Contra 4, but I am pleased to say the VC release is so much better. I can actually see bullets now.

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It's probably my least favorite Zelda game, but I'm going to give it another chance.

Donkey Kong GB. I'm heavily considering River King for my next one, as Harvest Moon appears to be a date of TBA.

Wario Land II - (GBC)
I've already 100%'d the older GameBoy version, but i felt that it would make a decent addition to my incredibly teeny tiny GBC VC collection. Now, I'm a big fan of the first Wario Land and I commend WL2 for doing something completely different to break SML1-3's traditional platforming mold, plus Wario's Abilities are very creative and the level design is clever, tricky and challenging. BUT control wise, this is a big step down from the first game. Wario now feels super stiff, clunky and heavy and even his new character design looks second rate, with the overall visual presentation looking pretty darn inferior compared to the originals. It just doesn't look or feel in league. If anything, it's still miles better than that wretched Wario land 3 which personally feel is one of the worst Nintendo sequals known to Muppet and man!

When it comes to Wario Land, once you experience Shake it! going back to 2, 3 and even 4 is very difficult. Actually, there are a few things WL4 has going for it besides the beautiful 16-bit graphics And outlandish quirky SFX are the twisted insane BOSSES which 'physically speaking' are easily the best the franchise has ever seen.. Too bad WL4 feels like the 'beginners' Wario Land, since the stage design structure has been pretty watered down. the red Saphire and yellow Worlds I found were a bit of a bore. Don't expect a challenge going into it.

Also, Bionic Commando which i haven't started yet.

My personal Wario Land order is almost the opposite of yours

2=3>1>4>Shake it!

2&3 were just that awesome to me, as I enjoy their unconventional platforming and exploration. I don't personally get your immense hate for 3, which was simply super in every respect. I admit that at a few points, the difficulty ramps up and it can be harder to locate some treasures, but I personally enjoyed that they gave you some challenge, particularly as 2 could be a bit on the easy side at times (which doesn't diminish its beauty to me).

1 was also awesome, though a bit more of a standard platformer. The hats and the treasures gave the game its charm, and the stages were enjoyable too. Too bad this game was still in black and white: Wario Land 1 and Super Mario Land 2 would really have looked gorgeous with full color.

4 was a return to a more standard platforming, although the health system gave it some more character. The music and the stages are funny and quirky, and the game is certainly memorable, but there is a critical flaw: it's so unforgivably SHORT! C'mon Nintendo, this game should have had at least twice the amount of stages that it had! Looking at my play time in the activity log, Wario Land 2 & 3 both took me +20 hours to complete, while this one was just under 10 hours. I love 4 and have admittedly cleared it more times than the other Wario Lands, but its short length really diminishes the enjoyment to me. At least its not as short as Wario World, at least: that game was over in a FLASH.

Shake it, in overall, was lengthier than 4, and generally did everything fine, but I felt that the stages often lacked true challenge. Without trying to complete all the stage objectives (get a certain amount of moolah, etc.), it becomes a cakewalk. I felt like there should have been more challenge without these objectives for players who don't care about doing them. The lack of powerups for Wario is also a regrettable omission, seeing as ALL the previous Wario Lands featured at least some. The shaking mechanic was fun, though, as was running back to the goal at the beginning, which felt better implemented than in 4.

In my opinion, ALL of the Wario Lands are pretty enjoyable, but 2 & 3 just feel more special to me as they're lengthier and have more secrets to discover, and are very different from "usual" platformers.

I hope I'm not too rude, WaveBoy, but I think your criticism of Wario Land 3 is extremely over-the-top. I can see why you might dislike it and also understand its lack of appeal to you, but please don't pretend its one of the worst thinks to ever happen to mankind. It has received very positive reviews throughout the years, so I think we can agree that its generally considered a good game. In addition, there are some real stinkers out there that I bet even you consider a hundred times worse than Wario Land 3. I still respect your personal opinion on it, though.

@Cesco Wario Land is definitely in the Top 5 greatest Game Boy games of all-time. Without a doubt. A real treat to play.

I know what you mean. I have barely enough money for Animal Crossing, but the Zelda Oracle games are calling to me...

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Luckily I can withstand Animal Crossings call, I only had Wild World and I played it for a while, but I never had the need for another one. Maybe it's because English isn't my first language I somehow miss subtle puns you all get. I might get it to get one game for free, that'll make it worth its price!
