I know it will probably be a cold day in hell if it ever happens, but who else would love to see Nintendo themed tables for Zen Pinball? Ala Mario/Metroid/Kirby/Zelda and the likes. Even if one made it, it would be epic.
I agree that its a long shot but don't totally rule it out. Just Dance 3 had Nintendo specific Mario DLC so I suppose its possible that Zen Studios may partner with Nintendo for some 3DS/Wii U specific Nintendo tables. I know I would buy them in a heart beat and I'm sure many others would as well!
That would be cool! I can imagine a Mario kart 7 table or Kid Icarus table

It could be wonderful. Though I love how Zen Pinball sticks strickly to reality, I think a more whimsical approach suits Nintendo licenses. You know, stuff that couldn't really work on a physical table.
i had this thought when it was announced, as well. it's the only way i'll buy it, being how i already have zen on my ps3. there's no incentive to get it again. mario table would change all that

Oh I disagree. First of all this is one fine looking game on the 3ds. One of the best examples of 3d of any game I've seen on the 3ds. Matter of fact is it looks like it was solely design with 3d in mind since switching to 2d makes the game looked washed out and not as playable. Beside pinball on the go and leader boards who wouldn't want that!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

I actually disliked the more realistic style of the courses (not the gameplay) so I would love to see it as well

Yeah - I didn't like the way the console versions crammed the DLC down your throat though. I expect they will do the same thing for the 3DS version once the DLC hits though.

Zen's tables are too video-gamey (although they're a lot less video-gamey than other games such as Sierra's 3D-Ultra Pinball series) to resemble real pins anyway so they can easily do a Nintendo-themed table.

I'm not sure what you mean, but my only point was that they seem physically feasible.
Oh sorry. The way you worded it, I thought you meant that Zen couldn't make such whimsy tables because they're more realistic (your 'strictly realistic' line). I also thought you meant SMB is too whimsical to be on a real table so I showed that image.
What I meant in my post was that Zen's tables aren't exactly realistic because they still have some elements that couldn't happen on a real table, but even then they're not as bad as some other very arcade-y tables I made.
So yes, let's chalk it up to a very serious misunderstanding. Peace?
Considering the companies interest in doing custom tables with other developers materials (Street Fighter II, Ninja Gaiden, Marvel comics) I don't see why it couldn't happen. Nintendo has had people make real pinball for them a few times before back in the 90s when pins were really hot. I suppose it's possible if the thing tracks well enough, or if they just pitch a finished table as a demo and Nintendo likes it I can't see why they wouldn't like to profit share some free money on a download addon table for the package.
