Topic: Has anyone had problems with the 3DS's L and R buttons?

I just bought my 3DS a few days ago, and I noticed the L button feels a little loose. The R button is fine. Has anyone else had problems with the shoulder buttons?

Iwata told me that Japan will fix it for Japanese 3DS', but America won't fix it for American 3DS'.

Probably not. I don't like the feel of them either. I loved the DS Lite ones, they where comfortable. But the DSi and 3DS ones are so small and clicky.

The L buttons feels a bit loose when I press it, but the R button feels fine.

In my opinion, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation controllers have better L and R buttons.

I broke the 360 L and R buttons without trying o break them

My R button went dead back in July. I had a whole thread talking about it.

It's fixed up now, thank goodness.

Mine work just fine, and this is coming from someone who loves to add beats to songs on Nintendo 3DS Sound!

I've had more problems with the circle pad than the L and R buttons.

And yes, the DualShock controllers have infinitely better buttons than the 3DS, but it's not really fair to compare them is it?
My PSP on the other hand, its R button is a little messed up (like I have to press it down in a certain spot) but I think it's cause I pretty much rest on it for MH

I got 99 problem but a L&R button ain't one~

l is slightly loose. compared to the R one.
but its not affecting anything during gameplay. didnt use it much neither...
a lot more R targeting with 95 hours of gta chinatown wars, yet the l feels more loose.

My 3DS's buttons are fine, but my DSi's L button died a slow painful death...

One time I left it in a seat pocket in the car and the R button was pushed down for hours. It was messed up and sticky for hours, but after it regained in it's shape. They are a bit clicky, but no problems with them so far.

My DS Lite has a broken L button and my DSi has a broken R button but I've tried to be pretty careful with my 3DS and no problems yet.

My left shoulder button is more clicky sounding than my R button, actually.

If it doesn't work, then it's a problem - If it does, then it's not a problem! I know how to fix your L/R button that won't work - cup your mouth over the button... and BLOW HARD for around 3 or 4 seconds. I had a broken R button on my 3DS, but fixed it that way.

PS- That works for DS, DSLite, DSi, DSiXL and 3DS.

PPS- The button might switch back to not working again. If so, blow into it again!
