Rune Factory was enough to blow the DS entries out of the water. 4 basically kicked everything out of the water, off into the sky, and into the sun. I'm not even kidding. It's the best spinoff I've ever played.

If we're talking original series, I'd say I had the most fun with Animal Parade. It was weird that the game didn't focus on animals or parades, though.

Harvest Moon 64.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

Well the only one besides the SNES one that I played in depth and even beat was Save the Homeland on PS2. I keep saying that I will try the others but I always get side tracked with other games and just never play the other HM games.

So right now I will go with Save the Homeland on PS2.

Which would you say is the best DS/3DS HM? Never played any, sad to say.

Hard to say, considering there are so many on DS and the 3DS is still getting some. Story of Seasons (the Harvest Moon game not called Harvest Moon) for 3DS is looking good. Same with Harvest Moon the Lost Valley (although that doesn't look traditional). If you stumble on a used copy of Harvest Moon A Tale of Two Towns or Harvest Moon A New Beginning, I suggest you get it. The series is a ton of fun.

My current favorite on my 2DS is Tale of Two Towns. However, if you plan to buy it for the 3DS, the eshop version is recommended... I hear the retail version is got some nasty glitches.

DS and Sunshine Islands are also nice.

I've only played DS Cute and loved it.

I really want to play another Harvest Moon game (or at least a game with that feel). I'm looking at Tale of Two Towns because cooking festivals were my favorite part of DS but I keep hearing mixed things about it. I'm also looking at Rune Factory 4 but ToTT's eshop price looks a lot more attractive...

Harvest Moon 64 and Grand Bazaar purely because my friend and I spent hours playing GB together.

From what I hear it is better balanced and each chapter lasts only one year so it won't bore you to death.

I LOVED both Grand Bazaar and Friends of Mineral Town. Other than that, I still like every other HM game I played.

If we're talking about all the Harvest Moon's then Rune Factory 4 BAR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we're on just Harvest Moon's then I'll say A New Beginning, sure it was slow, but it was an awesome awesome game once you dug in
