neither, as expectations would kill those sequels dead, and they were kinda complete stories that don't need a direct sequel.

Yeah, I just want a game that plays the same. Doesn't need to be a direct continuation of the story, just a similar, improved game with an equally good narrative.

Trust me, I miss it more than you. I use to play it non stop when I visited my cousins in Mexico. Then I played it non stop here in the US. Eventually I lost it. Now I miss it so much. I really wonder what happened to it...
Metal Gear Solid, please. Actually, make a 'back to basics' game, like a game built like Ghost Babel. That would be awesome. Just simplify it for handheld bursts of time (not from the actual gameplay, but for the amount of time spent on each mission), but make the game long and fun to play, like the other MSG games. I mean, NL said it best: Metal Gear was a series born from limitations. Peace Walker handled well with only one nub, and the MSX2 games are still revered to this day (I hope).
