LYON, FRANCE – XX October 2011 – NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe today announced the launch date for the debut of the acclaimed Tales of series on Nintendo 3DS ™, with Tales of the Abyss™ scheduled for release on the 25th of November 2011

Tales of the Abyss™ for Nintendo 3DS™ is based on the critically-acclaimed PlayStation®2 role-playing game of the same name. Delivering 3D support and use of the dual screens, Tales of the Abyss offers a new gameplay experience and brings players closer to the action.

Tales of the Abyss tells the story of Luke fon Fabre, sole heir to a family of aristocrats, as he is suddenly thrust into the outside world and forced to embark on an epic adventure. Naïve and spoiled by years of isolation, Luke struggles to learn the importance of friendship, sacrifice, duty and his own choices. With the fate of many in his hands, Luke's actions could ultimately save the world or bring about its very destruction.

Tales of the Abyss for Nintendo 3DS will be available on the 25th of November 2011 across EMEA and Asia Pacific. Another title from the Tales of series, Tales of Graces f, will be released in 2012 for PlayStation®3.

So anyone else getting this game. I plan to pick it up when it hits america as i never played the original expect one game of mutiplayer.

Still waiting for a Remake of Symphonia for Wii U/3DS/360 using the Vespria/Grace/Xillia engine.

US release is 7th December as I recall.

waaa. that's cutting it a little too close to Mario Kart. These Release dates are tad bit problematic.

The 3DS has taken a sudden shift for not enough good games over a long period of time to too many good games in a short period of time.

In fact, I am an idiot. I typed December when I actually meant... February. Sorry!

Yeah Alot of these games should have been releasing august/September and this month. (looking at you Cave Story). too many games coming out this year. Then you have games that will be sure to have a limited release and hard to find (bit trip saga,Nano assult)

I'm really looking forward to this and it'll be awesome to finally play the game AND have an excellent, epic RPG for my 3DS!

I might pick it up. Emphasis on the might. I've got my three major games (Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus Uprising) on pre-order already. I have £85 (£50 of which will go into that sweet looking Skyward Sword bundle) but that leaves me with just £35. So, yeah, technically I could pick up Tales of The Abyss, but then I'd have a fiver for the PS Vita which I am aiming to get at launch along with Uncharted and Wipeout, which unfortunately leaves me about £300 short, and my birthday isn't until April.

I suppose Tales of The Abyss might go on my Christmas List.

Unless what I've heard is incorrect, Cave Story is coming out here (in Australia) on the same day as Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Well I guess if worst comes to worst and it does, then at least you don't have to buy it.

This is my most anticipated game of Q4 and I think it will be the best 3DS game of the year and second best overall (second to XBC) but I think I'll wait for Christmas as I simply must get new Mario platformers (even with how disappointed I am with SM3DL) and Mario kart games on release day unless they're on a console I don't have which isn't the case. Also, if I get it for Christmas I'll be able to focus on it as there won't be any 3DS games coming out soon after that a definite release day purchases unless Animal crossing 3DS comes earlier than expected as thats the only 3DS game coming out next year that is a day one buy for me. I don't mind waiting for the other 3DS games coming out next year that I would want.

You should Try symphiona on Gamecube and Vesperia on 360.
