Topic: Ruby/Sapphire Remakes on 3DS?

There was a Pokemon Red/Blue remake on GBA, and a Gold/Silver remake on the DS. The next logical step is to release remakes of Ruby/Sapphire on the 3DS, though I assume they'd wait until later in the handhelds' life to launch them. Discuss what features you would want to add/take away, etc.

I'm pretty sure they will.

I hope they do, R/S/E were my favorite of the pokemon games.

If there is ever going to be Ruby/Sapphire remakes for 3DS (which there might be), I want the developers to put in the day and night features (which weren't in the original versions for some reason...), online play, Tag Mode features, and the new content from Black and White, like 3-on-3 Pokémon battles. Also, 3D graphics (duh).

I think Ruby and Sapphire remakes will come to the 3DS later in the 3DS's life, but I think a 6th gen Pokemon for 3DS will happen first.

That would be awesome especially since the were my least favorite because of little reasons, day and night, the fact that you couldnt catch em all until Months later with Colloseum and FR, LG. also Jirachi and Deoxys were a pain and this may be my dumbest reason your rivals pokemon isnt fully evolved the last time you fight them all other games had it why not R/S

There is a chance, first Nintendo needs to see if the 3DS is selling, then it's a shoe in.

Forget that, the Black/White remakes are where it's at.

To be honest, I really don't want one of these yet either, but I would still buy it.

I'm not sure if, in the case of a remake, it will be on 3DS. On one hand, Black/White are DS games coming late in the system's life cycle so you'd think that those remakes should be 5th generation as well, and thus DS games as well. On the other hand, they can still make it 3DS games from a technical point of view, yet still 5th generation when it comes to the game mechanics and Pokémon.

I'd expect it. But Ruby/Sapphire are my least favorite out of the entire series, so I wouldn't buy it (most likely).

As for LavaRuby and SkySapphire.... What the.... SkySapphire? That makes no sense! It's Kyogre, not Rayquaza

Remakes already? No way that is definitely not needed maybe at the end of the 3DS's life in about 5-6 years

I hope so. I'm getting tired of original games, and Pokemon doesn't have enough remakes yet.

Probably gonna be on the DS though seeing as 5th gen is on the DS. Then maybe Diamond and Pearl remakes near the end of the 3DS in 6th gen.
