I'm honestly not sure if they're going to remake Ruby/Sapphire. I mean, they made the remakes of Gens 1 and 2 because it was really difficult to get Legendaries and the like from those generations. However, in the newer games they're trying to move away from that, as you can get all of Hoenn's legendaries if you have access to Platinum/SoulSilver/HeartGold.
Then again this is Pokemon, so....

Of course I don't get the Ruby/Sapphire hate (Gen 3 is easily my favorite), but that's a completely different subject, now isn't it? :3

@mastersworddude Gen V is only on DS because Game Freak wont Know if 3DS would do well until a little later and so they dont want to risk it plus B/W was announced before 3DS so they didnt want to Spoil any secrets.
As for 3DS R/S names RedHotRuby SothingSeaSapphire. since the GBA was 1st for double naming 3DS could be triple, kind of like how the battles are. GBA double battles 3DS triple.

Yeah, I think it's a safe assumption. Figure Pokemon Grey will be 3DS exclusive. The Ruby/Sapphire remakes will probably come out a year after that with all the upgraded features from Black/White/Grey with the R/S storyline.

I eventually found this thread they probably are going to make a sapphire/ruby remake for DS and thats that..... BUT I believe that emerald will be remade with blue/yellow/crystal for the 3DS.... In another generation after 5,6 will have diamond/pearl remake for DS and platinum for 3DS
I'm sure it gonna be really good, but here are some things I would like to see in this remake game: 1st: Make Max (10 years), and Dawn (11-12 years)(starting with a starter pokemon of Hoenn, or with an egg of one of her pre-own pokemon (which stays in the Hoenn-dex))? 2nd: Make the Oldale Ruins appear in the game (The keys could be own by 1 with Steven Stone, 1 with a Magma/Aqua grunt/Admin 1 at the Desert Ruins, and the last one be owned by N (founded at the Battle Frontier)? 3rd: Add Houndour, Houndoom and the Kanto starters to the Hoenn-dex? 4th: Make the Rustling grass (Bulbasaur and Jigglypuff), the Dust clouds (Geodude, Charmander and Bagon (max. 10%)), the Rippling water (Wailmer, Squirtle and Luvdisc (max. 10%)) reappear. 5th: Let the Puddles reappear (a little bit after Oldale town to catch Surskit, Wingull and Lotad more easily) and the rest at random place. 6th: Place the grown up May appear at the end of the Oldale Ruins after defeating Elite Four. 7th: Let Steven Stone be the Champion and let Wallace degrade to the Elite four. 8th: Give the Elite four more differential pokemon (Sidney and drake or fine)(switch Phoebe or Glacia with Wallace and give the other one more differential pokemon instead of using two or three times the same pokemon or pokemon-family. 9th: Let N reappear at the Battle Frontier with the last key to the Oldale Ruins. 10th: Let the Super Rod appear later in the game (after defeating Elite four would be fine).
Hmm, i would prefer a pokemon 3dyellow remake with enchanted features! R/S were good games too but i don't think the "advance" pokemon were as popular as the first 300. Any true pokemon RPG is welcome ofc.
All I want is a definitive version where all generations are included and you are actually able to catch every single pokemon. I wouldn't mind if they split it up into two versions, as I would enjoy this encouragement to trade, but I do not like how there are usually only about 300 Pokemon to catch in each version. Ya know? lol so throw in every Pokemon into the remakes and I'm sold! Actually... no matter what they do I'm sold lol but I would be even more sold if they did that!
Gamefreak should just wait to make Grey on 3DS and put in Hoenn as a region to visit. That way they don't have to remake Ruby/Sapphire in a separate game. Event legendaries could be handled through spot pass, content could be downloaded etc.and Gen 6 could start a few years after.
