Topic: Rainfall 3DS?

I was wondering if it would be at all possible to port over Xenoblade, Last Story, and Pandora's Tower to 3DS? After all, MHTri is making the jump. The reason I'm wondering is because my Wii isn't working, so I was wondering if the possibility of these games coming to 3DS is plausable. Handhelds seem to draw a large JRPG crowd (myself included), and these three games are releasing at the end of the Wii's life cycle (potentially meaning less sales), so I was wondering if these games could be given a 2nd chance a few years from now.

If they were ported to 3DS, would you be interested?

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Possible? Sure. Likely? Not in a million years. Sorry!

I would LOVE to see Xenoblade (or a similar game/sequel) on 3DS, but wouldn't hold my breath waiting. Is the system powerful enough? Is there enough storage space on the game cards? How many months or years would it take for something like this to happen? Who knows... but it's a sweet dream.

Not going to happen.
Portable Xenoblade would be awesome though.

1. The system is more than powerful enough. I heard it's more powerful than the Wii so no problem their.
2. The carts on the 3DS can hold up to 8 GB, and the maximum a DUAL-LAYERED Wii disc can hold is (According to Wikipedia) 8.54 GB.
I don't think technology is holding Xenoblade back from getting a 3DS port, it's just the money involved really.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Can it hold the epicness of the huge open world in 3D? I hope so.

Still, though, I just want RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D, Paper Mario, and Heroes of Ruin to fulfill my 3DS life. Everything else is just icing on the cake. Xenoblade would be sweet on 3DS though. Only problem: the Circle Pad Pro is basically required to play the game itself.

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

And what does the 3DS lack that the Circle Pad Pro has?

You do know that rendering a game in 3D takes a heck of a lot more processing power and storage, right?

It's not as cut-and-dry as "if it works on the Wii it'd work on the 3DS!" Samurai Warriors used the same basic assets as Samurai Warriors 3 on the Wii, for instance, and that needed to be scaled back (in terms of people on screen at once) to work on the 3DS.

Xenoblade, especially, would be hell to render on the 3DS.

Not saying it isn't possible, but I would be suspicious whether it would.

It could work, but the money involved would probably too high. Not to mention having to render it in 3D too, unless they keep it as a 2D version, which I highly doubt they would on a 3D able console. It could be possible and I would love to Xeno on the 3DS, but I highly doubt that it will ever happen.

Nah, maybe a pre-sequel or prequel?

Not really. I don't use the second analog stick at all, as I found centering the camera with the L button was much easier.
