Not realy. At least not so far in the main game. Of course, its easier to enjoy the start if you know some characters (Chelmy for example) but nah. I had no information about Maya from PW but ishe is stil a fun character ^^
I wonder if there are burger shacks in the village the game takes place in.
I dont think they know what burger is there. Layton and Wright got almoste acused to be "witches" (strangly enough since neither of them is female) because they used the word logic. And the villagers finds Laytons hat strange. Besides smal spoiler Wright and Maya works as bakers in the third chapter. Wich is chapter one spoiler ends
Just started the game yesterday: The intro movie is VERY good! And the first puzzle was pretty tricky, though it was late and I got tired! Still, a very promising start!

It gets better. Just wait. I could never guess somthing about the third and fourth chapter.
I just beat the game yesterday and the last trial is one of the best stories from a Phoenix Wright game.
Im at the epilog now ^^
I got here from the Layton games, thougt I did play dual destinies just to know what to expect from Wright.
Kind of feel like it should be more and a tad bit harder puzzles thought. (Im spending. Hint coins in the trial since Im having a heck of time guessing. The story is great!
A great game, sure, but it doesn't top the best of either series. The puzzles were pretty inventive, although lacking in quantity, and some witnesses were among the funniest in AA. Final chapters blew me away, but still left several questions unanswered. SpoilersSpoilersSpoilers

By the end, it's established that magic doesn't exist. How, then did those statues at the beginning move and threw a car atop of a tree? Those flying witches I might be able to chalk up to an unreliable narrator or hallucinations, but that car's undeniably up at tree level with an enormous handprint on it.
To that effect, not much of the stuff that happened in London make sense: What happened when Phoenix and Maya were transported to Labyrinthia? And why did it happen in the first place? Let's say that the book was written in some sort of anesthetic ink or something. Fine, now the corporation has to transport their bodies to Labyrinthia, away from a crowded courthouse via port or airways and then brainwash them. In any case it's a huge and costly operation, which the game fails to give any proper reason for.
This game ought to relevant soon with the American release creeping slowly closer, so let's breath some life into this thread!
Have you guys been keeping up with the downloadable content drip-fed to us? It's already gotten to the tenth episode, and I assume all the artwork's has been given to us. I like the direction they went with these things; it's cool to get glimpses of all the character's lives. With Shu Takumi himself on the helm, the writing has far surpassed the main game in wittiness – he's not afraid of flirting with the fourth wall either. There's still one cameo I'm anxious to see; you know, the same one who appeared after credits
Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8
Hang on! This game is a thing of beauty. I'm not a puzzle fan but I really did enjoyed them. The new trial mechanics were amazing and the presentation too. I won't say too much but this game was very special in so many ways.
