Topic: Nintendo 2DS???

Also, if you have this version, won't everything be a walking advertisement for 3D? All the games with '3D' in the title, games with 3D icons on the screen, games reminding you about the 3D slider... It's all kinda weird...

like when DSlite came out and all older games had a "turn-off backlight" button that would make the screen go black completely because turning the backlight off was a first DS exclusive feature.
or when GBA micro came out and the DS could play GBA and had large GBA ports that screamed "you don't need GBA I can play it too".
or even DSi that had almost no games and even games optimized to it had only DS slapped over it instead of DSi?(not counting DSi Ware)

Are you suggesting that people aren't aware of the 3DS's features? I think if consumers were to choose a 2DS over a 3DS they would know what they're giving up...or at least I really really hope so.

However, I understand it's not here to replace the 3DS, and will be a better option for kids (no 3D, more durable, cheaper).

Hope the name doesn't confuse the mass market, though (the same group of people whom this is targeted at), especially considering the DS still has relevant shelf space dedicated to it at pretty much every major retailer.

I was overreacting. now I'm just kind of fooling around waiting my 3DS to charge(sorry 2DS users I have 3D and it has 2 screens not one and it can be folded too )

Because, you know, being forced to play everything in 2D gives people a choice, but having a slider to switch between 2D and 3D is just forcing itself on people...

Oh yeah, that's a good point. I'm just wondering though, are they going to make another circle pad pro model to go with this? That's gonna be a HUGE system!
