Topic: Mario Maker .. possibility for 3DS?

I know Mario Maker is in the works and seems to be close to a final product seeing what ive seen at trade shows... but... this game feels to me like a silver metal on the wii U where as on the 3ds, would be more of a Gold medalist. winner .. does anybody else feel this way?

Right now, they only announced it for the wii u, .. is it just me or would it not be more available and productive to have it on a portable device?

Elebits and Smash Brawl had a level editor.. they flopped..

DS has had Mario vs Donkey Kong Mini's games offering editors with wifi sharing capabilities..

Then it is a good idea for them to release it on Wii U as they will sell more consoles and you become a consumer for more of their games. Sounds to me like they are doing the right thing by releasing it on Wii U.

I agree with you OP. It would be a great addition to the 3DS library and it is just the right type of game for it too. Don't listen to the others whinge about their beloved Wii U missing out on another exclusive. The Wii U barely has any games worth buying the console for (yet).

I think it should be on both systems.

The 3DS is probably not powerful enough for Mario Maker, especially if Super Mario World gets added as an alternative graphics approach (I think SNES games for VC will be exclusive to New 3DS in terms of handhelds)

"JUST BUY A WII U" you guys miss the point entirely a game like this is WELL suited for the 3DS vs the Wii Poo version especially if worst case scenario comes and they don't add Online capabilities

It loses the point in general without online sharing imo. If I want to make a Mario game (which I have done before) I'll make my own legit Mario game. I have the tools and the know how, and I can put it online to share for free.

Exclusives happen, get the console if you want it so bad enough or don't. Either way, it's your choice.

Wii U is going to have exclusives, get over it. Also "3DS won't be able to handle Mario Maker", seriously? Troll elsewhere.

smash brawl is the highest selling brawl to date at an estimated 13 million copys. do your research before making up facts.

also elibits on the wii and ds was made by konami.....not nintendo. it's 3rd party software. the wii edition outsold the ds edition by over half. once again do your research.

They could do it and remove the 3D. (To get 60fps).

There is no emulation anyway. (Reason why they said even the original will have the NSMB physics).

Even if it was necessary to get it running the real version the GBA ran Mario World.

Modern Nintendo seems to u-turn when it comes to that recently (NES Remix 3DS (After saying in interviews it wasn't possible) / Smash 3DS).

Even saying Smash Bros 3DS used the maximum capabilities is now known to not be true. (It uses an 80MB RAM mode but there is also a 96MB RAM mode which would be the maximum possible).

I fail to understand your reasoning. Just buy the Wii U and enjoy it on there.
