Topic: Is the new 3D viewable for a long time?

I understand that the 3D on the new 3DS is improved in terms of viewing angle but what about comfort? After 20 minutes on the older models you couldn't look at it anymore, but can you view the new model 3D for a long time?

You're asking something highly subjective here. I only have information on my own brain. All I can say is that I've never noticed a maximum playtime comfort-wise. I don't use 3D that much but I've definitely played stretches of over an hour in 3D before (on the old XL).

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

If you could only stand 20 minutes of 3D before, that likely has not changed here.

I dunno, i can play for hours with my standard 3DS with full 3D. I think this varies from person to person.

As Guov said it varies from person to person but I personally never turn the 3d off.

I'm a Danish gamer, but I mostly play on Nintendo hardware. I love gaming local co-op, and playing Mario Kart with my cousin (she's owning me btw!)
My favourite game franchises are Super Smash Bros. & Sly Cooper.

Yeah, I can see the 3D for hours without issue. So it's probably a personal issue with how you see 3D. That said, the head tracking keeps the image a lot more stable, so it could help you.

I get headaches or migraines after an hour usually, but when i played the New XL, it doesn't happen

I usually only turn seizure mode on whenever I want to see a specific object in 3D for a few seconds. Otherwise I can't view it for long periods or play certain games with it (smash with 3D enabled particulary is too much).

However the reason the 3D is so painful is that on the original models, you constantly have to angle the 3DS screen to get the proper comfort point with 3D.. which unforunately never last long as remaining still for that long is pretty uncomfortable. They solved this issue with the new 3ds so I'd only imagine it becoming much more pleasent to view without the trippy 3D camera angling.

However as others here have said, it's you and how your body reacts to it. Your body is either reggie or it's not for extended 3D periods.

I couldn't use the 3d on the old model at all and on my new one I haven't turned it off yet! Regardless of length of play time.

Could be a question of whether or not the fatigue you experienced before is due to the need to be centered to view the 3D properly. Not sure how all that works. Might be different for everybody as well.

I never played my old 3DS with the 3D on for more than 10 minutes. I couldn't stand to constantly position myself within the sweetspot. With this my new 3ds, I haven't turned off the 3D since the day I opened the box
