Nintendo re-releasing N64 games is great and all, but it has a major flaw. Odds are if you wanted the game you already have it on your wii console and have beaten it already. So the wii VC kinda backfired with the new N64 games strategy nintendo seems to have.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Exactly! The original's godawful framerate and muddy textures gave me headaches and made me nauseous, so it was really nice to be able to finish one of the highest-regarded games of all time. You hit the nail on the head Mickeymac. <3

the way I'm reading it, the OP is talking about the release of OoT3D and SF643D being spiked by those games already being available on the Wii VC, though I think they may be mistaking 'backfire' for some other term — perhaps 'conflict' (did the Wii VC stand in conflict, the Wii VC kinda conflicted, etc.)... it's fine in the 3DS section. :3

I think Nintendo did it to give new players the chance to play these games and also show them in better quality. Also who doesn't want to play N64 games when out and about?
Also who wants to play an old game with muddy graphics and miss shaped controls on a Classic Controller or GCN, when you could simply redo the whole game and make it better?

Yah im an idiot for rebuying oot 3d when its only 10$ on vc. and btw at the first post that i quoted he ment the wii vc screwed up as in oot3d is making the wii vc get less sales
