Yeah, most of it seems to be shovelware. You probably just got persuaded by the convenience and accessibility of downloading DSiWare, compared to the higher costs and more scarce availability of DSi retail titles. I've only downloaded, "99 Seconds," so far. DS lite was the last handheld gaming device I owned, before the 3DS. Otherwise, I'd probably be in the same boat as you Eddy. "99 Bullets," is really the only other DSiWare title that has gotten my attention, but it seems like a really good DSiWare game. I haven't had my 3DS very long, so I don't have too many eShop games yet. That will definitely change, as time goes by.

Why do people keep categorizing 3D Classics as VC (or give it it's own category)?
It's pretty clear that they're officially "3DSware". They've always been labelled 3DS Download, and have always been in the 3D Games tab, just like every other "3DSware" offering.
In contrast, VC games are labelled with their system of origin (Game Boy, NES, ect.), and are in the Virtual Console tab. No 3D Classics have ever been labelled by their system of origin, or have ever been in the Virtual Console tab.
I personally have 3D Classics in their own folder, titled "3D Classics" . The icons look very pretty all together that way :3.
As for me, I have 45 titles in 3DSware, 3D Classics, Virtual Console, and DSiWare, on my 3DS. 65 if you include the 20 free games, 66 if you include Swapnote!
Also, as far as the OP's comments, I DEFINITELY notice that people just aren't as into downloadable content as I am. Though this is kind of the case for all of my systems: I have hundreds of downloaded titles on my Wii, almost a hundred games on Steam, quite a few downloaded games on my PS3, and even though I don't own an X Box 360, I may be getting one specifically for some of the downloadable software, of which I already know quite a few titles I would be interested in!
I'm not sure why it's a platform people just don't seem to be interested in. I think the main difficulty people have with it is that there aren't a lot of demos available, so it's hard for them to judge if a game will be worth the money. Naturally I always refer people to NL, and try to give my opinion if they're looking for a game, but in the end it seems a lot of people just don't go for it.
Personally I not only LOVE digital software, I also think the 3DS is IDEAL for it, because it's awesome having almost 100 games in my pocket at ALL TIMES! (In fact, I didn't FULLY realize how epic that is until I typed it out just now. I think I might be an addict! ^_^ )
