online multiplayer would be such a blast in this game. but i guess i will get the game even if it just has singleplayer, too. there is just nothing else i could buy for my 3ds lol

We're getting the 'Link' version of the game, which includes online multiplayer.

Cringing is really fun.

Was that ever confirmed? Multiplayer was demonstrated, but still, I'd like to know if it comes with everything else, too.

I don't believe it was ever explicitly stated that we were getting the Link version. I suppose I just assumed due to the fact that multiplayer was only available in the Link version.

It would shock me if they decided to add only the online part of the Link update to the western version of FL. I believe that the only things besides online multiplayer that were added in the Link update were an increased level cap and new quests.

Pet dragons may have been added too; I can't remember if that was added in the Link update or an even later update.

This is the game I've been waiting for on 3ds. I hope the online play isn't Half ass'd (oops sorry) like most of the advertised online co-op games are. From the E3 video I saw in the Eshop they were playing Local WiFi and it was running a flawless open world where both players could go anywhere and do anything. I hope we will get more news about the online Co-op soon cause they were very vague about the online features at E3. My next 2 retail purchases are Fantasy Life and Monster Hunter for the online hijinks. I was had on Tomadachi Life I'm sorry but for a guy my age that game is a huge dud. I gave my Tomadachi life to a friend today and told him if he likes it to keep it.

Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.

Well if the three from the Treehouse video's were over exaggerating while playing Local Multiplayer, it doesn't look to be as poor as other advertised Online games from the past. I think what I like most about the online co-op is that you and your friends can do whatever you want cause it plays just like single-player. Your not limited to one area it's just like AC:NL were your letting your friends come into your single-player world.
My list of games for the 3DS for this year and early 2015 include Fantasy Life, Pokemon OR/AS, and MH4U. Speaking of Tomadachi Life I knew I would have the same experience as I played AC:NL. I was way over hyped for that game, and I don't mean to upset those that do enjoy the series. AC:NL was the first game I played in the series and it was fun for the first two weeks. I finished up the first month but I honestly couldn't force myself to continue playing. It was very repetitive and online for me didn't really add much expect for the Island mini-games(but even that got boring). I realized games like AC just aren't my kind of games. The latest Harvest Moon on 3DS fell into the same category although I played that game a lot longer because I kept going back spending each in-game day collecting all sorts of items/materials from the woods. Still after a while it got boring, I just know Fantasy Life is going to be completely different for me due to the whole RPG and Leveling up system. I can see myself enjoying Fantasy Life for a long time. I still play Pokemon(hence me buying the newly announced remakes) in fact I'm playing Pokemon Emerald on my desk while I'm typing this.

Waited SOOOOO long for this, been wanting this before the 3DS's release! I've been doing a ton of research on the Online co-op and SO FAR it seems that there is some form of connectiveity as to if its the full experience we saw during E3 i'm not 100% sure. After looking at the official website for Fantasy Life LINK! It appears that online play is a big deal I just wish I had some visual confirmation of this, even still if its only local play there is still online communication options available which is still nice.

Already preordered this. I don't care if it is online. My internet connection isn't reliable. Plus I prefer single player games, but I hope for those of you who like playing online that it comes that way.

Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

This looks interesting. I wonder if it will have any sort of romance.

From watching the Treehouse demonstration during E3 you can see the Online option when they open up their world to allow friends. Considering the fact in the original release of the Japanese game there was no Online co-op option, that is until the expansion of Fantasy Life Link. So it would seem as though the western release will either have just the online co-op(with Link expansion as a later update), or they'll already have the full Link expansion already at launch.

Just wondering what reasons is everyone getting the game? I myself am getting it because I enjoyed Animal Crossing it just was really small in content and lacked much to do, and I greatly enjoy LEVEL 5's work in the past so this automatically caught my attention.

Yoshi

I'm getting it because the Treehouse gameplay made it look to be a very fun game to play.

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:

I'm getting it because I love open world games, plus it's an arpg not that I prefer real-time over turn base cause I love both styles.
The character customization is great, 12 different lifes to choose from, and the ability to play how you want.

Do you feel like you'll spend more time adventuring, battling monsters or just doing the non-combat oriented lifes(classes). I myself plan to spend most of my time battling with friends and maybe on down time go farm some items for fun. The really interesting thing about this game is that it fully presents the possibility to play the entire story without ever taking up arms against a monster you can beat the story any way you want.

I've watched a ton of trailers, seen small vids most of its generalizations. I could probably draw a map of the first 3 area's in the game and a few other small details that you could conclude to.

I have a few questions I hope some of you are nice enough to answer them
Will this game have online multiplayer (for I live in a small backwater town where it'll be hard to find local players)?
Is this one of those games you can sink 100+ hours into?

The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.
