looks like one of the most amazing looking games ever is a no show in the u.s and will continue to stay that way. It was trademarked over a year ago and there hasnt been an announcement since. Looks like another amazing game that wont come outside of japan due to "lack of interest" even though the majority of the time it is because they just dont wanna release it outside of japan for some unknown reason
Most of the time, lack of confidence in commercial viability is the only reason. Nobody wants to spend money on something that they're not sure will see returns.
Though Japanese "niche" titles have been doing pretty well on the 3DS in the West, so Fantasy Life is probably low risk.

I really hope so. it sounds like it would quickly become an all time favorite title for me. But I dont see where any doubt would come in. It is like a cutesy animal crossing, skyrim mix that doesnt necessarily require combat. I need it! lol

I really want to see Kuma Tomo - 3DS be released over here personally. I'm not bothering to contact Namco Bandai anymore they don't respond to phone call's, email, or tweet's. I don't know what good the company is if they won't talk to there fan's at all. I just want a simple answer yes or no if they'll release the game in the US & they never have gotten back to me via phone, email, or tweet. I'll think twice & also very long & hard before I ever buy another game from Namco Bandai ever again...

Yeah, nintendo is still my favorite major gaming company (bethesda and natsume are my favorite smaller companies) but that is definately a huge issue with the: no communication. Fans dont get updated about anything that isnt mario. Dont get me wrong I love some mario but this game was trademared here over a year ago and I would love if they could even say if its a possibility here or not
Bump. Does anyone know if there is any news on fantasy life at all anywhere? All I seem to find is old forum posts talking about the trademark acquisition. Its like everyone forgot about possibly the greatest game ever
It seems like this time last year the mentioned something about it being localized here in the US, but then there was no mention of it since. Which sucks, because I've been looking forward to it as well.

Haha, sorry. I usually just assume that if it's coming to the US it will be released in other countries outside of Japan.. but yeah. That's not the case sometimes, case and point: Rune Factory 4. Which is really sad. I'm just going by this article which I read last year.. apparently the game has also been trademarked in Europe, according to this article.

Haha, sorry about that. As spur said, I just assume if it is released outside of japan it will be released everywhere. But it is very disappointing that there was talk for a little while then it just dropped off the face of the earth. This looks like my ideal game
So happy that they're finally localising this.
It's one that I've been waiting for news on for so long, and it looks like so much fun.
There's a lot of games I need to buy around the same time of years, but this'll be one of my highest priorities.

You're correct, it had an expansion that added this. I don't think we've received word on it though. I won't buy it until I know it has the content, because it came packaged in with new copies of Fantasy Life in Japan after it launched according to the article NLife did.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Whether or not the expansion is included already, we will have wireless capabilities(as demonstrated during E3/Treehouse vids). Considering the fact the game has been out for nearly two years now in Japan, I don't see why I they wouldn't include the FLL expansion right at launch for western games.

It's likely that the expansion will come pre-installed on the game. Online multiplayer tends to be a big selling point for these kinds of games, and it would be foolish to leave it out.
