Topic: Can the region-locked 3DS play import DS titles?

Is it possible that I can play a NTSC-US copy of Chrono Trigger on my PAL 3DS? I know that 3DS titles are regionally locked, but is it the same for DS ones?

I cant believe they region locked the 3ds games but kept the ds games unlocked.

yes, and heres something cool in activity log, my friend put his G&W Collection USA Version in and I put my G&W Collection JP Version in and Activity Log had 2 different G&W Collection down

Chrono trigger is well worth it its such a good game with about 12 different endings so should keep u going for a while

DSi enhanced / DSi exclusive games are region locked, or at least they were on the DSi. But as far as I know DS game havnt been region locked so they wouldnt be affected on the 3DS. I believe the lock itself is on the software rather than the 3DS / DSi and the cart itself checks the region rather than the other way round, hence the lack of region locking on DS games
