This video game store/gaming lounge sounds interesting. You could hold street pass events and such. One key would have to be to overpay attractive young females as employees to increase traffic.
I use to hangout over @ gamestop and when Eb games use to be @ before gamestop took over it but, now I just go in, go out. I sometimes chat with with the managers, and the clerks but not as much as before. So its been a long time since I hangout in a game store.

it would be awesome if there was a Game Cafe. in one counter you buy games, on the other a cup of coffee(and maybe some snacks), the music selection, only the best Video Game Music that would fit such a place(something smooth and sweet like Godot's theme) and every once in a while, a small tournament with two main rules: keep it cool and no ragequitting. I would hang out in such a place almost everyday

A games store is not what I call a place to "hang out". It's more of a "enter-look-buy-leave" experience. Unless it's a mall.
And I don't think foods/drinks and electronics in the same establishment would mix pretty well.
^But seriously this. Why would anyone want to hang out at a video game store unless you know someone who works there really well?
And no, a video game cafe would be awful. People getting grime all over the murchandise is bad enough as it is, it'd only be worse with lots of food and drinks around. Heck, I remember the days when you could be kicked out of places like that for bringing in food, and for good reason.
Nope if I have to go to GameStop I look on there website 1st then call the local GameStop make sure they actually have the game then make a trip down to then walk straight to the counter tell them my name & what game I called about pay for it & get out. I use to hang out at Electronic's Boutique when I was younger for maybe 15 mins at a time if not longer. GameStop I have no respect for after some of the stunt's they have pulled on me over the year's as for trying to buy video games.
This past month excellent example:
I called GameStop was going to buy doodle jump 3ds & angry birds star wars the guy at GameStop assured me they had both games in & had PLENTY of copy's of both. Same day I went in to pick BOTH up the guy say's we only have one angry birds star wars 3ds. I bought it but was mad to put it lightly. I then called the othe GameStop in the Mall turn's out they had doodle jump 3ds same day & every thing the other GameStop told me I'd have to wait a week if not longer to get the same game because of there UPS mailing etc. So I went down to the mall the next day picked up doodle jump 3ds & called the other GS & told them that the one in the mall had the game just as a fyi. They point blank said to me with the manager getting snippy on the phone saying well were not the mall you'll just have to deal with it or buy your games else where.
Keep in mind both GameStop's are 10 to 15 min's away from each other in the same area also close to my house but yet the GS in the mall had it & the other one didn't.... It just didn't make any sense. I rarely buy games from the smaller GS in my area because they have gotten snippy with me on more than one accassion.
Happy Gaming! (^_^)
I had the same experience with gamestop, I bought Animal Crossing:City Folk. Long story short they lied by saying that the game worked and when I came home it basically crashed my Wii. So I tend to buy my games at walmart or online. Eb games were the best.

Ha thats a good idea!
Not realy. If they are overpaid, I think I would prefer my grumpy GS manager.
I don't like to be that person who floats around game stores trying to make friends with everyone. The concept of befriending complete strangers based on the fact we have one similar interest is absurd to me.

Hm, fat grumpy loser or perky, pretty young girl? You only have to pay them a dollar or two over what they'd make in other jobs. You have to give something to get something!

...b-but isn't everyone a complete stranger before you meet them? What's wrong with befriending one that has a similar interest? That's how I've always done it...

If they aren't interested in Video Games then why would you want them to work at a Video Game lounge? I already deal with that going into GameStop, that would just make me not interested in ever going. Now put me in a room with a bunch of people that enjoy the same hobby/lifestyle as me then I am in.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Nah, nothing that severe, I have a young daughter after all. I'm just talking about appealing to the consumer on every level. And every GameStop I've ever been in that has a hot girl at the counter always seems to have a lot more people in it than the ones that don't.

I'm with this guy. If you want to be my friend I make you fill out a questionnaire and if we don't have at least five things in common it's a no go.
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
Considering I have a friend who spends his 3 hour break at Game, playing FIFA 14 for all the while, I'd say going to game is like going food shopping for him.
