if you're trying to choose between a 3DS game and something else, though, the Universal Recommendations Thread may be what you're looking for. :3

Well, Pilotwings Resort definitely looks great for those who loved Island Flyover in WSR.

I don't really give a damn anymore.

I played a little bit of Pilotwings and Nintendogs, and I didn't walk away dying to own either of them, although you have to see Pilotwings for the 3D. Street Fighter is likely still the only game I plan on owning for a while.

But really, are any of them worth it? :| I know a few people have already played the Jap. versions, but Iunno if it will really last long, I'm a hardcore gamer, but I do enjoy the casual. Only problem is length, I just hate a short game.

So what do you think? Which one should I get? Or should I just chuck em' and get myself a point card and buy some DSiware?

Street fighter 4 is the game for you then. It's crammed with content. And Nintendogs plus cats.

Already getting SSFIV :D but um, Nintendogs + cats... Iunno, how different is it from the original Nintendogs? I mean, I remember getting bored with the original quite quickly :/ Unless there's more to do this time.

I'm just looking at stuff that's fun, bright and lengthy.

I'm trying to decide between Lego Star Wars III and Asphalt 3D. Does anyone know if LSWIII be more like the console version or the DS version? Does Asphalt have enough new content to justify the price? Should I wait until something else comes out???

Ridge Racer or Asphalt? I'm not really interested in either of them, but if I find an extra $40 dollars I may be getting one of those.

@Funky Right now I would say Ridge Racer, but still I would just wait for something better down the road (pun intended), like Mario Kart, for example.

People of the earth: get Street Fighter and Pilotwings!

Quick question now, would Nintendogs + cats be worth my time? Might as well ask,

Which might end up being the most lengthy and fun?

Nintendogs + cats
Monkey Ball
or Pilotwings?

Apparently, Super Street Fighter IV 3D and PilotWings Resort seem to be splendid choices for launch title buys.

For those debating between Ridge Racer and Asphalt, don't rely on this, but I'd say if you want some more rubber-burning fury, go for Asphalt. From my previous experiences with Asphalt on many different consoles, it's pretty hot. Ridge Racer has that arcadey-style racing to me. But do your research, don't rely on my opinions. Of course, you could always wait for Mario Kart.

Rayman 3D is actually a pretty great game too from what I've heard so far, so some with a little extra may want to consider picking this up. I have no idea how similar it is to the original Rayman 2 though, so check round.

@TornadoMan - Try narrowing your debate between PilotWings and Super Money Balls, those are the reasonably worthwhile ones. Nintendogs + Cats, as a pet simulation, will bore you after a while.

Well then I'm stuck between SMB and PW... _

I'll wait and see what other people are getting P: Narrow it down that way, shame both sides say the games are short :|

@TornadoMan I'd say get PilotWings at launch, then wait a few days before buying Monkey Balls.

I'm getting SSFIV, Pilotwings, and Nintendogs for certain. If I have enough money for a 4th game, should it be Steel Diver (Nintendo's new IP with a lot of Reggie love), or Super Monkey Ball (I was a major fan of 1 and 2, I still play them as well, haven't played a game since Adventure. However, my main concern is the lack of party games and the fact that the music doesn't sound like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKAp3x5Wcvs&feature=related )

@Mickey Objection to Rayman. It's a "...really loveless port. Frame rate is all over the shop and the 3D is the weakest I've seen. Pushing the depth slider seems to shunt the entire game into the background, so it just feels like playing a 2D game, slightly further away." http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=153660

Semi-objection to Monkey Ball: "Yes. Way too easy. Levels seem to be based around fiddliness rather than threat - the ticking timer is more of a concern than staying alive."
