I dunno. This whole 3D thing has always and continues to feel like some big stupid marketing scheme to me. I was around back in the day when Jaws 3-D came out (in the early 80's) granted, i was young but I remember seeing it in the theater and hating it (a floating dismembered 3-d arm? really?!) So ever since then, I have just been kind of "off" the whole 3-D subject. It's not new. it's been around for years, and I remember having headaches after putting on 3-D glasses as a kid. I don't think it'll last. It's a fad. Not sure if this is the right way for Nintendo to go UNLESS the technology has improved, and doesn't cause harmful side effects. I have not been to see any of the "new" 3D movies that are currently out, but all I remember is hating the whole experience. On a good note, the new systems look great! I'm glad you can turn the 3-D off if you don't want to use it, but let's hope games just don't take that gimmicky route and put all their value on that function being 100% cool and functional all the time.
Y'know, in the ~25 years since you saw Jaws 3D, the technology has improved quite a bit.
