what nintendo needs to do is release their own mini games to android and ios. the unity3d game engine already supports nintendo consoles, and as well it is the perfect cross platform development choice. does anyone remember the mini games from mario 64 ds you could unlock? they were really inventive and used the brand new touch screen in neat ways. these games would've been huge hits if they had released them as mobile games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjSC3h2K4aI
they should leave it as is for the main game, but add an option in online to play with or without it, sort of like for fun or for glory modes in the new smash. snaking ruined online in mk ds for me because i didn't find it fun to snake through a whole level just so i dont get beaten like crazy every time.
playing a gba version of a snes port on a system with snes style controls is very frustrating. at least it was on the 3ds. i presume you can customize the controls on the wii u version like their other virtual consoles as of late.
hopefully 2.0 adds some wii u gamepad features, like 2 player mode with gamepad and tv for each player, touch screen menus, and better management and access to the downloaded toy box share levels.
finally nintendos answer to gta, even if its not by nintendo or exclusively for nintendo, its still like 85% inspired by nintendo, and thats good enough for me
i would honestly prefer they release these games in packs. or for much cheaper. i might actually pay .99 to get all of these each, or maybe like 5-10 bucks for the entire pack.
yes some bad games come out made with unity3d, just like with any other engine or programming language. a bad craftsman blames his tools though.
there are lots of high quality games that come out, and you may not even realize they were made with unity3d because only the free version forces you to display their logo.
yes more AR! even though its a cheesy game, the ar makes it worthwhile to me. i think i will get this. now i only wish the 3ds had a headmount so it wasnt a pain to keep your eyes in the right spot for 3d while moving around lol.
when mario 64 DS came it, there were a ton of sweet touch screen mini games you could unlock, and this was in 2006. everyone of those games could still easily sell millions of copies at .99 on phones.
its about time we started getting some more 3d classics that are actually classics. was very disappointed that games like zelda and mario did not get this treatment. sounds like we might actually get quite a few sega games now. would love to see rocket knight
