Hm. I don't know how I feel about all these ports of indie games anyway. VVVVVV, for example, is one of my favourites, but I've bought it twice now. I just want to see the 3DS store being supported, so I feel like I'll buy it anyway, even if it's available elsewhere for much cheaper.
Machinarium's the same. It's great. Buy it for PC or Mac, for sure, but the Wii's (inevitably) inferior version? We're not missing out on anything.
@LittleIrves Maybe, just MAYBE we'll get Culdcept, after the kicking NoA will have been given after such a terrible year, but I'm absolutely sure that Tomodachi will stay away.
I never thought I'd say this regarding a Nintendo console, but thank the gods for third parties!
Hold on, I can't quite see the point in being able to buy stuff from a PC or Smartphone... Why would I buy something away from the 3DS if I can't play it till I get online and download it anyway?
Just so I don't have to use the 3DS store's awful interface?
The control issue that's been mentioned is, I think, a very slight lag in response. It's so slight that it hasn't been enough to kill me on its own, but it is vaguely noticeable.
I think what's missing from the videos and screenshots is the sense of tension in trying to get the levels done. I really thought the game failed to sell itself from the vids, but I picked it up because I was so desperate to have SOME 3DSWare. And I'm pleased I did! It's easy to keep going back to for "one level" and stay for a lot longer.
Having said that, the thing does seem like a reskinned version of Solomon's Key, going even further than just being a "tribute". I'm not sure how I feel about supporting that, really.
@YellowChocobo That's just what WayForward have said. That classification costs are too high, and sales on Nintendo E-shops are too low to make it worthwhile. I don't know enough about XBLA or PSN to comment. But that's not the point. Point is you can easily change regions and buy all the ones you want to! Yay!
Australia's really expensive to get stuff classified in, and Nintendo Download games just don't sell well enough here to make it worth it for most devs, I don't think. That's WayForward's problem with Shantae, anyway.
@YellowChocobo: I recommend changing your regional settings to Ireland or something, and paying in Euros. I'm in New Zealand, and it's much cheaper than the local costs, PLUS you get the games they haven't released here (like Shantae!)

Re: UK 3DS eShop Charts (28th November 2011)
I like that Zen Pinball, currently sitting on 0 (zero) sales, is number 9 for 3DS software.
Re: Feature: A Beginner's Guide to the World of BlazBlue
This is coming out so long after the US version: I don't suppose it fixes the slowdown that scored it so many low reviews, does it?
Edit: "So many" seems to have been just IGN....
Re: Enjoy Gaming Cuts the Ribbon on Block Factory for eShop
After watching that video, does anyone else have Dancing Queen stuck in their head?
How about now?
Re: Machinarium Finally, Officially Cancelled
@SqueakyTheBone
The game came out ages ago on other platforms! Go play the demo!

Dude. In New Zealand... that's really not a lot of cheese.

Re: We Have an Exclusive Extra Level for Pyramids
Ok for some reason I just bought it anyway, and the code definitely works.
Re: We Have an Exclusive Extra Level for Pyramids
@Pengaweeno Do you recommend Pyramids? I haven't seen any discussion about it whatsoever, really...
