Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Regularly Offer Free Games for Download?

slidecage

Nintendo could go another route as welll and do a MONTHLY FEE

for xxxx download all of the games you want.. then again they will need more then 2 games per week to make it worth while... say 8 games per month 6 of them will hit around 5 and 2 will be 2 meaning if you grabbed all 8 = 34 bucks..

I wouldnt pay more then 12 bucks for the sevice ... or they could do a BUY 3 get 1 free game....

Re: Review: Break Tactics (DSiWare)

slidecage

A game of Break Tactics makes for a decent time thanks to its Chess-like turn-based strategy

last time i looked dumping all your points into one troop unit isnt chess like... and about missing.. if your defence is high enough the AI will miss cause it doesnt have enough damage pts to hit you..

there are also 30 Missions in this game ... took me around 11 hours to beat.. i would give it around a 7...game is very easy.just keep dumping all your break points into one class and you will never lose a round. by mission 30 i had my Knights at attack and defence around 100 each. while the AI only had their troops around attack 30 def 30 so they could never touch me

also you need to UPGRADE your general to learn new troops..

very easy game.. fun time killer like i said around 11 hours to beat .. no story mode its just win move on to next mission.. no new game + after round 30 its game over

there are way more people who own the DSI then a 3ds. The 3ds isnt even selling that well. so ther is no reason to say No point in putting this on the DSI... I wouldnt even want to attempt to play this on the 3ds tiny screen

Re: Review: Let's Create! Pottery (DSiWare)

or by creating whatever garbage you like and selling it at an auction

i once went to an auction and someone did yell that.... SOMEONE BUY MY GARBAGE everyone broke out laughing ... remember just cause someone hated it you still might like it.. there are games here that scored an 8 or 9 that i can not stand and i would rate them a lot lower.... if i ever find time i might download it..

Re: Review: My Australian Farm (DSiWare)

slidecage

you can get My Farm Around The World for around 7 on cart so might be better to go that way (cart has all 4 downloads on it)

Bad thing people said the cart can be beat within 3 hours meaning these single downloads can be beat in around hour>

Re: Review: Ante Up: Texas Hold'em (DSiWare)

slidecage

wow i have to totally disagree with this review after winning this game There are no touraments at all in this game (at least what a tourament to me means )

it says the game has touraments in it.. THere is no touraments in this game

THere are 10 stages each stage you play 10 hands whoever has the most coins at the end of those 10 hands wins that stage. That is right after 10 hands that stage just ends if you in you can then move onto the next stage .. the game is buggy as well.. in the rules it says the goals of each stage will be listed when in fact none of the goals are listed . THe game is very short (went though all 10 stages in less then 30 mins) the AI is very stupid going all in on high card yet no betting when they got full houses

on the plus side the game does move fast no lag... i would love to see this company come out with a full cart verison of this game with REAL touraments but how it stands right now major disappointed and i would felt totally ripped if i paid 500 for this. the review makes it seem like there is Real touraments in this game .. i have never been in a poker tourament where its game over after 10 hands

i would give the game a 2 out of 10 maybe people would find it better for mulit player mode but for single player mode the game just was very bad

game moved fast but lack of gameplay really ruinned the game for me.. shhould of knew it was short when it said it only took 19 blocks

I can see good stuff in the game its just they need to add MORE TO it..
ITs a very good start but its Very very short fingers crossed they make a part 2 to this but THIS TIME add Real touraments to the game and make the AI Smart
sadly still looking for a good poker ds game

Re: Review: Jewel Keepers: Easter Island (DSiWare)

slidecage

The one thing that really sets Jewel Keepers: Easter Island apart from other match-three puzzle games is the way in which you complete levels. The background behind each block is coloured grey, but when you accomplish a combo over a certain area, the background turns gold

a lot of match 3 games do that ... Jewels of the Ages . cradle of rome and more change colors when you match 3

Re: Review: The Lost Town - The Dust (DSiWare)

@zachkaplan O now i see.. see what happens when your not 100% awake reading stuff

do have a question though will there ever be an edit button on this page so i can fix post instead of having to make more then one post when i forget something or misspell somethingor something like that ...

still wonder what diversity in it makes you want to replay it ... though

Re: Review: The Lost Town - The Dust (DSiWare)

slidecage

you lose me here now

first you say
his lengthily titled action RPG combines level building with real-time combat to create a unique and innovative new game

then you say
While it may not be the longest game ever, with the campaign being beatable in just around two hours, there is enough diversity in it to make it worth more than one playthrough

why sort of diversity is in it and how can it be called long if it only last 2 hours

Re: Review: Hearts Spades Euchre (DSiWare)

slidecage

so im guessing its not worth the cash if you already have a game like clubhouse games... was hoping for some sort of tourament mode or something. seems they could of fit a lot more stuff into the game

thanks for the review saved me 500 pts

Re: Review: Stratego: Next Edition (DSiWare)

slidecage

disagree big time with an 8.... its a one battle game win and you win lost and you lose single player is one game win or lose and then you go back and play again no story no nothing. With all of these faces on the box (start page) it makes it seems you will be fighting these people and that is FAR from the facts

no stat tracking no nothing.... very boring game at least to me and one of the worse 500 pt games i ever got and i still say stay far far way from this junk

Re: Review: Beach Party Craze (DSiWare)

slidecage

Beach Party Craze. For example, when selling souvenirs, you’ll need to select the one item that stands out from the crowd. However, there’s no indication you’ve chosen the correct item or tapped the right area of the touch screen; the mini-game just ends and you go on about your business.

Wrong .. if you pick the wrong item you will only get 1 gold coin instead of 3... i found the game worth the 8 buck purchase (game will cost you 7 to download it to a pc and at least i can take this verison anywhere i want to go with my DSI )

it does suck the price was 800 pts (when airport mania was only 200) i think it has something to do with the licence fees that force the price up so much...

about to get flamed here but i would rather have this game for 800 pts (at least i know its a complete game) then the 800 pts i spent for plants vs zombies (what is missing alot from the cart based verison)

Re: Review: Puzzle Rocks (DSiWare)

slidecage

ahhhhhhhhh stop tempting me to buy it

really though thanks for that more info ..

i would have to put another 2000 pt card into the system to buy it though then again i have around 5 of those DSI Cards what i dont think can even be used on 3ds stuff so might.. got to wait till sunday to see if i can get it or not

Re: Review: GO Series: Picdun (DSiWare)

slidecage

very watered down verison of Etrian Odyssey type game...

floors dont even stay complete when you beat them... say floor 6-10
you get 6, 8 and 9 complete and miss floor 7picture.. so you take it down to floor 6 again... all the puzzles reset meaning you have to find yourself though the maze again
