I wasn't too into this one, still a really good game but the level design was pretty bad imo. However, the way Mario controlled (including the FLUDD) is better in this game than in Galaxy. It feels quicker and more responsive.
@Kristof: Yeah, the CTF mode really got my attention. I take it there's a two player mode? How about online multiplayer? I'm guessing no for the latter, but it's been years since I had a good game of online CTF :[ MW2 didn't really do it for me.
I hope this doesn't make it to Europe, I like having an excuse to buy an extra game. If I didn't have leftover points I could only justify buying games that I really wanted. :[
@20: I'm not going to like the gameplay regardless so I didn't comment on that. It looked exactly the same as The Conduit (or any Wii FPS) to me - clumsy and irritating. This game definitely has a visual style more suited to the Wii than The Conduit did though.
@14: And yet, as far as I'm concerned, the N64, GameCube and Wii have all been the best consoles of their generations. What does that tell you about the importance of advanced technology?
Anyway, I also agree with The Fox. There's no way that, over three years from the release of the Wii, Nintendo aren't thinking seriously about their next console.
I never played this game on 64 (my parents bought me DK64 instead), but I tried playing it on the DS a while ago and I thought the controls were awful. I played it for about twenty minutes and never touched it again.
@Adam: That's the main problem I have with JRPGs, they're too often the millionth installment in a series that I've never played. I know it hardly makes the game unplayable but it puts me off, especially since such games are so story-based
@Damo: Sadly I have to agree... This is the one genre that the Wii can't really do. It's a shame as the remote is easily the best controller for FPS, but the lightweight online functions (Friend Codes and lack of voice support for instance) can't compete with Xbox Live and PSN.
i think there's always been that small amount of lag with anything using the wiimote, just moving the cursor around the console menu it's clearly not as quick as using a mouse.
this looks like fun, and the fact that the gameplay is simple and it contains monkeys means that i could probably get my gf playing it, which pretty much makes it a guaranteed purchase for me

Re: Review: Flashlight (DSiWare)
Anything that could possibly save your life, no matter how improbably, surely cannot be awarded 1/10. Excellent review.

Sean, is Ju-On being released for the PAL region? Do you know if it has co-op gameplay?
