Re: EA Job Listing Suggests Madden Could Be Coming To Switch

@tomdasilva89 you are correct. The 7 titles are already revealed. This would be June 2021-22 I assume. EA will likely announce it's plans for the next year after the end of this fiscal year.

If they can offer full versions of their main sports lines and Mass Effect Trilogy, that's all I'd want from EA.

@V_Va Not sure on a large scale. I buy a FIFA and NHL every 5 years or so. EA definitely does not improve on the titles enough to purchase them every year.

That being said, I played FIFA on Vita to death and would definitely dish out for a full-fat version on Switch. NHL as well. Not a big Madden fan, but might just for the portability aspect. Sports portable is a blast.

@TheLightSpirit Pretty much the problem with most Square Enix turn-based titles. I have been playing FFXII on Switch lately, but even with the high speed mode, I have grind fatigue. Everything's smooth-running for hours and then you hit a boss that is inexplicably high powered and you realize this is the point where you need to go in and out of the same area for hours to level up... Ugh...

Re: No More Heroes 1 & 2 Physical Releases Announced For Switch, Pre-Orders Open Next Week

Like some others here, I don't understand the hate for LRG. Ideally, I'd love if physical editions were widely released and available in brick-and-mortar. There are some early LRG I would have loved to buy and would be willing to buy now. But the truth is that many developers cannot find a publisher willing to put in the cost of production and distribution, especially for games originally destined to be digital downloads.

LRG is for those who prefer to have physical copies OR who like collector swag. I got burned in the past with buying digital games on consoles that no longer support re-downloading files, so I like to get physical as much as possible.

My other consideration is hard-drive space. I recently bought Ori and the Will of the Wisps physical over digital because it would have taken up 6GB of space. I will do the same for physical Hades and plan on doing so for No More Heroes. These are "larger" games in terms of size and ones I am happy to own physically - especially for longevity. I'll download things like SEGA Ages, however, or Towerfall, since they are small file sizes or don't have affordable physicals available.

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Collections And Compilation Games

Collection of Mana is a worthwhile addition to the list. Developed by M2 and pretty spot on.

Sega Genesis Collection is a mixed bag, but overall I'd say not worth it. Too many games have input lag and while you CAN play Sonic, if you've played Sonic before you basically have to relearn how to play as it requires pushing buttons slightly before you normally would. basically Sonic jumps when you let go of the button as opposed to when you press it. Spinball and Ristar are unplayable. Even the Shining Force games are weirdly slow. I find myself missing the entranceway because I needed to take my finger off the D-Pad earlier.

Then other games are quite playable: the Vectorman games, and Gunstar Heroes is arguably better here than on the Mini. BUT the few games that work are not worth it and can be found elsewhere. Its just disappointing to see such a large library and only want to play 1/4 of them due to the emulation. I bought it on sale and the joy of getting so many games for such a low price was overshadowed by these problems.

Too bad because D3 did a fine job with the Shenmue games.
