@Kalmaro Also, and you can call my naive, I would like to believe that a game developer who says that they have found it difficult to get a foot in the door in the games industry because of their skin colour or race is not making this up just to drum up some publicity. I believe we must take these accusations at face value - would he really lie? Why can't we just be supportive and not demand receipts?
@Kalmaro I am struggling to understand your point with this comment. Before, you said you didn't believe the developer due to a lack of evidence, and now you're saying that evidence isn't enough to change people's minds? Which is it?
@Kalmaro I understand your point but the scenario you've given (a racist email) can easily be proved or disproved; stating that the industry has a bias towards white game makers cannot be easily proven. I also take issue with your statement "Taking people at their word without evidence leads to people being unjustly hurt" - surely the opposite is also true, i.e. assuming someone is lying because they can't produce evidence also leads to people being unjustly hurt?
@Kalmaro I don't understand why we have to assume he's lying - why can't we just take him at his word? Replying to accusations of racial prejudice with demands for evidence is a dangerous road to go down; no company would ever outright state that the reason they did not give him an interview was due to his race or the colour of his skin, so he would never be able to acquire the evidence that you want.
@Rosona Or maybe this review is long because it's reviewing the flagship game for this holiday season, with lots of hype and possible buyers? Your average Joe is not going to have heard of games like Sakuna; you can't give every game the same amount of time for review.
@Orangezap89 and yet somehow it is a positive term! Though I must admit it is a strange saying, now that you've mentioned it. Anyways, well done Nintendo! A far cry from the dire Wii U period!
Addicted to Stardew Valley so definitely that. I'll also continue playing Mario + Rabbids, as well as a bit of Splatoon 2 and Rayman Legends (Switch version). May get round to defeating the last boss in I am Setsuna - been putting it off for a while!
It's a shame that none of my 5 favourite eshop games - Child of Light, Pullblox World, Trine 2, Toki Tori 2 and Little Inferno - made the list. Been meaning to play Scram Kitty and Guacamelee ever since I picked them up during a sale!
I agree - it's confusing, if anything. I'm never quite sure if a game is out here in the UK or if it's just out State-side. Take Twitter for example - on the one hand NOA are promoting Yokai Watch and Yoshi's Wooly World, while NOE are promoting Chibi Robo and Tri Force Heroes on the other.

Re: Metroid Dread Studio Hit With Allegations Of Poor Organisation And Management
@Lordplops True, but does that mean we should just "deal with it", as you said?
Re: Metroid Dread Studio Hit With Allegations Of Poor Organisation And Management
@Lordplops My office job is nothing like this! If we all adopted this attitude then nothing would ever change

Re: Soapbox: Super Metroid Showed Me I Had The Right To Exist
@themakyr I'm part of the NL community and I don't endorse this! How arrogant to sign off a reply with 'NL community', like you speak for all of us.
I loved the article. I'm not sure why everyone is saying it was written by Kate, though, as it was written by Kerry.
Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Release Date Worries Me, But Hopefully I'm Wrong
@ObeseChihuahua2 Did they? I was under the impression they just said "2022'"

Re: UK Charts: Animal Crossing Stays On Top In A Week Dominated By Nintendo
@BigE It's marked red to show that it has its own page on the website (as there's a Switch version). It'll be multi-format in the chart
