That's why I prefer alternative scores to anything, really.
For me this game is a solid "A lot of fun, would definitely buy it"
And to anyone saying it's not evolving the Mario Kart formula in any way, I'm sorry. Play MK8 and tell me you don't feel limited in how you play it. Gameplay-wise, I'd say this is the best this franchise has gotten so far, same goes for visuals and music.
It just lacks some more options so people can play however they want. And hell, a music player. That's it.
I am really hoping for future updates though, to make it even greater.
Alright, so now we are transitioning from "I hate they only release one soundtrack per week" to "good lord, I'm glad they are still releasing soundtracks weekly"
Completed every main story, about 100 shrines, a good chunk of the depths... Don't feel like battling Ganondorf at all, one of my biggest gripes with the Zelda franchise is not having post game (story-wise). Every region is affected by your progress but nothing after finishing the game, it's so frustrating.
There are tons of really dated and formulaic story elements that I wish Nintendo could work on more. Also the rewards for exploration are basic rethreads from botw, also almost no improvement on the armors, most of them are exactly the same, even the limited colour customization...
There are a lot of new additions overall, but most of the copy paste from botw is sourly felt imho.
At the same time I wish to spend more time with the characters, specially Zelda. I don't want them to reboot everything for a new game, i would rather have them better developed and see where Hyrule goes next (but with a different art style, more colourful and less hazy). And please give Link some personality, he looks cool but is stupidly boring and one dimensional.
To summarize it's a good game, but we know they could have done more. It does reflect Miyamoto's philosophy of making creating gameplay the first priority.
This movie is so bad people are going out of their homes to see it for the 4th time. What a lame and misguided production that doesn't understand their target audience! lol
In all honesty, the only criticism I have for this movie is that it's not 3 hours long.
@karlhendrikse Don't worry, what will happen is that they will create more movies to sell even more games. And win more money in both medias. The games will always be there.
This is just brilliant. Great marketing for this movie, it's going to be huge! This film is showing so much love for the source material, it'll be really hard to mess it up.
Never been this underwhelmed about a new zelda game since Skyward Sword. Nintendo hasn't helped by showing absolutely nothing cohesive, only glimpses of unconnected scenes from the game. Really weird marketing strategy.
MK8DX is easily the best because it combines everything great about all previous entries, BUT I really miss the special item mechanic locked to specific characters.
I don't care much about the two drivers thing, but the special item was awesome. Using DK's big bananas and Bowser's gigantic spiny shells were funny as hell. I wish that mechanic came back.
I will be cautious with this one. SMP was great fun until you ran out of boards (which weren't all that great to begin with). Waited forever for that game to get some updates, but nope.
Having said that, only 5 boards? Come on, Nintendo...
I'm just glad Brewster is back in, his omission was baffling to me. I'm really excited for having a 20min long dedicated direct, it looks like it will be a major update.
I hope the shops can be finally expanded, I want to see gyroids and new activities overall.
@Realnoize I agree with you on that. They are treating the switch like the 3DS on that regard. But I don't think you should give up playing or letting your kids play it. I'm sure they will still have a blast with it nevertheless. Sharing the same island is still super fun.

Re: Random: Donkey Kong Country's Artist Reacts To Nintendo's Redesign
I really hope it's a "skin" thing you can select on the player screen. I'm not ready for a full DK redesign like this lol

Re: Mario Movie's Jack Black Song 'Peaches' Now Eligible For Oscar Nomination
This movie was a fan service for Nintendo and Jack Black/Tenacious D fans. Whoever is outside these bubbles will definitely not find anything amusing.
As a fan of both, damn. I was entertained. The song was a surprise and made Bowser even more of a buffoon.
