@Peach64 I don't recall saying the Fifa games where poor? I'm sure they're a great to the people who like football but that doesn't change the fact that Fifa 13 is pretty much identical to the games that came before it...
@rossy771 Yukes only work on WWE games (they did do UFC 3 too) and as far as i'm aware where 100% owned by THQ therefore had 2K or another company dropped them like Visceral (sadly) the more then 100 developers who work at Yukes would also be on the unemployment line.
@AbeVigoda WWE '12 and WWE '13 where both great wrestling games they have there issues but they where still great games. You only have to go look up reviews for those games (particularly WWE '13) to find out that i'm right.
in fact i'll do it for you http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/wwe-13 currently has an 8.2 user rating which is a really good score. as is the critic average which is 78 it's not excellent but it's still pretty good terrible would be in the 40's or lower get your facts right.
@Peach64 you clearly have no idea what you're talking about with WWE Yukes have 1 year to make a game! you try make a game in 1 year it's not easy!
As for do they deserve stick around because they only make WWE games that's a ridiculous thing to say, Yukes is a Japanese development company that's been making wrestling games for years it's there specialty. And you offer EA as a better solution?
Look at EA games they improve slower then WWE does, the people that buy Fifa, Madden, Tiger Woods etc have been buying the same game since the HD era began! They haven't changed in 6 years! and yet they are a better solution then 2K whose games have consistently improved since the HD era began?
It's amazing how much Yukes have managed to do working on a game in 1 year, Universe mode is fantastic there creation sweet is consistently improving and Attitude Era mode was great, I'm curious have you even played WWE 13? I really don't think you have...
Yukes have done more with WWE under THQ then EA ever did with there various sport franchise... 2K is a great home for WWE and they made the right choice by keeping on Yukes and bringing in one of there own teams to help them out.
as for saying they're one of the reasons that THQ went out of business that's WRONG! The WWE franchise was one of THQ's best sellers for years WWE 13 sold more copies then Darksiders 2 too did don't just make crap up because you think it supports your point of view! For your information THQ went out of business due to poor business decisions and because you clearly have no idea i'll spell it out for you UDRAW! they made far too many and the ones for the HD consoles killed THQ simple as that!
I'm still disgusted that you think people loosing there jobs is okay.
@Peach64 Your upset Yukes are staying on? You're upset that in this day age that more then 100 innocent people get to keep there jobs?
As for EA, EA would have been terrible for the WWE franchise as would a new developer you realise Yukes have probably been making these games longer then you've been alive! If EA had taken this licence all the work Yukes did would be gone! We'd probably use create a star we'd lose universe mode we'd loose all the other stuff Yukes have created over the many years they've done this?
2K is a great company and always deliver fantastic sports games i don't even like Baseball or Basketball but dammit 2K's sports games are fun!
This is fantastic if this comes out in Septemper i'm sorry guys but i can't buy it... GTA V is my priority in September i'll not be buying anything else in September...
Looking forward to this i missed Xenoblade Chronicles but i might pick it up at somepoint and i'm excited to try whatever they're currently working on is.
@jayblue Lol Nintendo has an exclusive deal with Capcom until 2015 for the franchise so don't get your hopes up... Not to mention Nintendo handles all of Capcoms localisation for the Monster Hunter franchise...
Did you not wonder why there hasn't been a Monster Hunter for the PS Vita yet? Because of this deal with Nintendo...
I don't mind delays i just wish they would explain! Tell us what needs changing then i'd be happy the game works fine in the US what could possibly go so bad that Nintendo would have to shell out the expense of recalling items?
@Bluezealand while i respect your argument... Assassin's Creed are made in English to begin with and localised like all other games. (it is made in Montreal not France)
@Bluezealand NO IT ISN'T! maybe you should actually check steam before commentating Scribblenauts is due to release on steam on the 15th of February in Europe...
This game looks so beautiful! if i didn't know it was originally on the GameCube i swear i wouldn't know any better i CANNOT wait for this game to come out!
I hope Lego City Undercover is around that date for the UK I've been looking forward to this game... (Wii U version) Until then only 11 days till Scribblenauts Unlimited xD
@P184 Nintendo have consistently said they're "working on" virtual console support in the main Wii U interface and would also like to add functionality for away from TV play (AKA on the Wii U GamePad) I can wait as soon as they release Mario 64 (i stupidly sold my Wii and lost all of my VC and WiiWare stuff which was a significant amount) but i will certainly buy at least Mario 64 and Super Mario World again as long as playing on my GamePad is an option
Rayman Legends and Lego City I just adore that music level on the Rayman demo i hope there is more of those... Lego City just looks insanely good ^^ was one of the driving factors for me when i bought my Wii U so i'm hoping it'll be out late feb or early march both would be great and will tide me over too GTA V which sadly i'll be picking up on my xbox for a variety of reasons not least of all online play but also because Rockstar hasn't talked about the Wii U at all apart from "maybe"
@mozie No that's not true a PC with 4gb's of RAM will run as quick as anything when there's nothing on it's Harddrive but once the Harddrive gets to being full loading times drastically slow down... I'm not saying that that would carry over to the Wii U however my Friends premium black Wii U "seemed" to run much faster then the white Wii U in the video however i only used it for an hour so i wouldn't know for sure, i was just carrying over facts about PC over to the Wii U which i think as far as behavior with systems in general is something you can assume but not claim as fact which i never did.
I think it's awesome that Nintendo are making sure indie developers get an easy place to place there games and i am definitely buying little inferno on the day i get my Wii U in a couple of weeks.
When i get my Wii U in a couple of weeks Little Inferno and Hyper Switch Force are definitely being bought the second that damn hellish long update finishes.
@SMEXIZELDAMAN She's not really cute though is she? Don't get me wrong i'm slightly partial to Japanese girls myself(lol) but the girl video i mean she's okay but nothing to special at least in my opinion.
She was using the basic and from what i've seen the Basic is noticeably more sluggish... which probably has something to do with it having so little free memory, It's like when you have a PC and it's running low on Storage i suspect a similar thing is happening with the Basic model... Don't get me wrong it's pretty sluggish on the premium version too but in my opinion it's MUCH worse on the basic...
@TheKingofTown Well obviously not... It wasn't powerful enough too handle them nor did it have many traditional inputs for games... Seriously if your going to make a comment at least make it meaningful.
The lack of traditional controller was what put a lot of developers because it was a headache binding there increasingly complicated games on to less buttons then they had on 360 and PS3.
@Chunky_Droid Well then they will Australia like every other company in the game industry is monitored by the EU side of buisness meaning you'll have the same stupid restrictions we do because your servers are European servers...
By your logic the UK shoudn't fall under this either as we have one of the most laid back rating system in the world and we are rated by PEGI and still we have to deal with a time lock system.
Damn the girl with NSMBWiiU is cute Glad too see it popular on Nintendo's home territory but it's basically a given pretty sure Nintendo will always be popular in Japan
Wow... I'm surprised that everyone is gushing about MiiVerse i sadly don't own a WiiU yet so i haven't had first hand experience... But i don't see the big deal i guess it's just one of those things you've got to experience like most things Nintendo do? I can deal with that already counting the days till i can get a WiiU (27 days haha)
@Spark_Of_Spirit you may have discovered this by now but Alex the Kid is a hidden Christmas present for fans who buy the game he'll become available to you when the date of your console is on or after the 25th of December you can change the date to unlock him but if you change it back he will disappear again... Like I said I'm sure you've discovered this by now but if you haven't or anyone reading this doesn't know happy holidays
@iroxyorsox that would be sweet imangine that a backpack with a battery built in all you have to do is pull out the game pad and hit play don't even need to remove the console from the bag that would be so cool!
@0LD_SK0OL_PUNK to be fair dude some games use both screens but still have this option available eg Batman, Sonic All Stars Racing and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Plus by doing that I think your being a little silly as you'll be ruling out a lot of great games with that mindset example NSMBU while it technically uses both screens it doesn't do any more then mirror the TV screen... I just think your being a little bit close minded.... An maybe even slightly ignorant.
@aaronsullivan That sounds like the best use! Believe it or not alot of my family members especially grandparents don't have HD TV's or only have 1 in the living, this will be perfect when I go to visit them for an extended period... They wouldn't even need to know I had it just plug it into the wall in the guest room and I can play Wii U games without stealing a TV or causing anyone bother I have to wait till January for my console but I am excited by all the prospects of this console for sure.
@Jaz007 if you look into history I think you will find that not only did Nintendo create analogue sticks they also created shoulder buttons, Sony modified the look of an old SNES controller for the PS1 they didn't invent anything. Nintendo are the innovators Sony just copy, don't get me wrong my Dad has a PS3 I play it quite a bit I like the system a lot but facts are facts dude... Oh and Dualshock 3 controller is really bad it's too small and uncomfortable to hold for my money the GameCube controller is the best controller shortly followed by the 360 controller (though the pro controller looks to beat that but I have no first hand experience to back that up)
I've always said... A smart man will never bet against Nintendo they've been doing this longer then anyone else they know how to make hardware, honestly I really couldn't care less about graphics if I did I'd spend a grand on a top of the line gaming PC I care about experiences... About fun, Nintendo have never failed in that regard and I don't expect them too this time either. I have faith in Nintendo and I will own a Wii U as soon as I possibly can.
Like I said in the Nintendo Land review I sadly have to wait till January to get my Wii U however Scribblenauts Unlimited did not make the UK launch but I do hope it is launched by January so I can by this with my shiny premium console xD
Sadly I have to wait till January to get my Wii U and it's so depressing, I did however go to a midnight launch and played with my friends Wii U until the early hours of the morning and I loved it! Was a truly wonderful experience and cannot wait to own my own Still sucks to not have one now though I will admit it's probably a good thing as Uni is absolutely killing me right now.
