Nice to see Gaming Historian getting some pub. I've been a big fan of his work for a while now. He's done similar stories on Tetris and Punch-Out that are fantastic.
I wonder why they didn't list Minecraft, the best selling and probably most influential game of the decade? The PC version released in 2011 and had a 93 MC score.
Edit: I see on the Metacritic site they only considered the version with the most reviews, which was the X360 version that had a sub-90 score. A dumb rule, IMO, as Minecraft should absolutely be on the list.
@rdrunner1178 Nintendo announced that Switch, incl Lite, passed 10M sales in Japan earlier in the month, so Famitsu's numbers are a little below the official number. I heard that it's because Famitsu doesn't count hardware sold directly from Nintendo's site
@NotTelevision They're listed on the (US) eShop separately, and at different prices, $5, $6.50, $12.50 for I, II, III respectively. If they do a physical release, I bet it would only be for all 3 together though.
It certainly seems like the VR Starter kit, which has just the VR goggles and blaster for half the price of the full kit, is the way to go if you want to dive into this at all.
