Getting Bayonetta 2 for Christmas. Picking up Fantasy Life at retail this weekend. Downloading Castlevania AoS.

@AJWolfTill I feel your pain. I have purchased Okami multiple times to support that game (as well as introduced as many people to it as I can. I bought my niece and nephew copies of the game for their birthdays and turned them into life long fans... I bought it for PS2 when it released originally. I bought the Wii port. I bought the PS3 HD remake. If they released it for PS4 or Wii U or whatever I'd buy it again. I bought the Nintendo DS sequel. I bought Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in part due to it's tie in with Okami. I adore this game!). I'll always hold out some hope for more Okami. Even if the chances are slim.

I love Platinum Games. Okami from Clover is one of my top games of all time. I also very much enjoyed Viewtiful Joe. As Platinum, I really dug Vanquish, Infinite Space and I'm really looking forward to Bayonetta 2. I really do hope they get to make a Star Fox game.

I am getting all three, as I adore these three games... but I may wait to nab them til the 16th in case they do a sale or promo for purchasing all three. But even if they don't have a promotion, it is still a great buy. All three games for just over $20! The DS Castlevania games cost $20 each at retail... if you can even find them. As for which of these three GBA games are my favorites, it is hard to say. Originally I remembered HoD being my favorite. But I'll have to run through them again to see how I feel about them now.

I'll be getting it for sure, either for Christmas or I'll pick it up after the holidays. The Captain Toad segments of Mario 3D World were some of my favorite parts of the game.

So buying all three. These are three of my favorite Castlevania games ever. And at a great price!

@dkxcalibur Yeah, I'm sort of in the same boat. I've had some experience with Disney Infinity and how those figures work... but I'm still not 100% clear on why these are necessary for Smash Bros, Mario Kart, ect other than maybe to take your character profiles to a friends house or something. They are cool collectables. But something I have to have? Still not so sure.

This is great news. I adored the first one on Xbox 360. Such a charming game that was fun to sit back, relax and quest around in. I was hoping to hear the sequel would come to consoles. It will make a great fit for the Wii U.

I often agree with the reviewers on this site. And I've not played this game yet, so I can't speak to it's quality. But I must say, I really enjoyed the two Amazing Spider-Man films. If for no other reason, I feel that they have nailed the characters of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in ways that the original Spider-Man trilogy failed to do. I enjoyed those films (well, the first two anyway), but I was never sold on Toby McGuire as Peter Parker. He just never felt relatable or even likable to me. And by the time they introduced Gwen Stacy, well, things had become a wreck in the storytelling department. Her arc in Spider-Man 3 felt like a rushed waste of an important character. In Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (under direction from Marc Webb), I found characters I believed in, I connected with and I wanted to see more of! And where the director needed to improve some in the action department from the first film, he really stepped it up for ASM2. We had an action packed film with exciting effects and fights... yet he still found the time to build upon the characters he introduced in the first film. So yeah, I love ASM films thus far. I think they deserve better games they they are getting. But I'd prefer the Spider-Man game series and film series to be separate (it has worked out better for Batman of late!).

Good to hear someone enjoyed it. Reviews seemed mixed. But I still want to find a copy. Keeping my eyes out for one. Again, thanks for your thoughts on the game. You've only made me want to find it even more!

I enjoyed the demo. May have to check out the full game down the road.

I got excited for a moment. I thought they were making the XSeed game The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road available for download for 3DS eShop. I'd always wanted that game but never found a copy. Seems this is an entirely different game based on a animated film coming this summer. Oh well.

I have some interest in Tappingo for 3DS. So I may get it. Otherwise, another slow week.

I bought Liberation Maiden the first time they dropped the price on it for a sale, and I loved it. Yeah, it is short. But I fire it up now and then just to play thru it! It does play a lot like the classic Rez mixed with something like Sin & Punishment (though a bit simpler in design). I do wish the game was longer, or that they would release a sequel cause I would buy it. It is a blast in my book.

I've not tried any of the other titles, but I'm probably gonna get Monsters based on everyone's high praise and the cheap asking price. Probably grab Crimson Shroud while it is on the cheap as well. The visual style of it is so interesting.
Staying away from Tanks/Bugs due to poor reviews and the fact that I hate bugs, especially spiders, so yeah, no interest in that.

I don't know much about Aero Porter.
And I will likely get the new blacksmith game. It sounds like good charming fun.

That's a shame. Seems to be the consensus based on the majority of the reviews I've read. Way Forward is very talented and the license is perfect for video games. And I enjoyed their original Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why'd You Steal Our Garbage for 3DS. It was far from perfect, but enjoyable enough. I'll hold out hope for a better AT game down the road.

It's been a while since I played a Phoenix Wright game... but the demo for this one really hooked me. I will probably pick this one up after Christmas. I do wish they would make a Wii U Phoenix Wright game though. The game would work well on that system, especially with the Control Pad.

Being a huge fan of pinball (especially of the virtual nature, since I don't get many opportunities to play the real thing these days), I remember owning this on NES. Even back then, I didn't enjoy it much. Pinbot on NES was a much better pinball game.

I'll be paying my $1 to upgrade my Wii version of Super Castlevania IV to the Wii U version for sure. One of my favorite games of all time. I'm also curious about Milon's Secret Castle. I remember having it and liking it on NES when I was young. But I do also remember having some issues with it. But it has been so long I don't remember much more than that. So I'm interested in how it holds up. Enough to buy it? Probably not. If I don't remember it fondly as a classic, I don't see myself getting it.
I'll try out the demos though. And I'm tempted to get Runner 2 for that price. I love the demo and the first Runner game.

The Wind Waker is one of my favorite Zelda games (In order of preference, they are A Link to the Past, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, Minish Cap and the original. Zelda 2 and Majora's Mask I have sort of a love/hate thing going on with them... the other handheld titles are all pretty solid as well, but Minish Cap is my favorite of the handheld games).

That said, of course it had it's issues, pacing at times being one of them... so I'm very excited to see how they tackled these issues with the HD remake.

I'm super excited to pick up Splinter Cell Blacklist Tuesday... but I'll be buying it for my Xbox 360... so probably won't be getting anything from Nintendo this week... but hey, I'm still enjoying Pikmin 3 and Earthbound and Animal Crossing and so forth... so I'm good.

I'd have a hard time at this point paying for a game like this when I've had the excellent Pac Man Championship Edition DX available to me. It took everything I love about Pac Man and tuned it up to perfection... adding much to the gameplay without taking anything important away. Sure, this NES version is retro cool... but I don't know that I could go back.

@Harrison_Peter You know, it is interesting how we can change as gamers. There are games or series that I used to love that I just can't get into anymore, and the opposite is true as well. I've at times found myself enjoying a game or a genre that I use to have not interest in. A good example would be JRPGs. I lived for them grown up. But in recent years, I've leaned more towards the Western developed RPGs (like the Elder Scrolls & Fallout series or Bioware games like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and the Mass Effect & Dragon Age or a game like Torchlight or The Witcher). I think maybe it is because Western RPGs tend to be more action heavy and often feature more player choice and customization and that appeals to me these days. I have mad respect & great feelings of nostalgia for the JRPGs of my youth... I just can't seem to get into them these days (the newer games... I find I can still replay the classics from time to time).

So anyway, I can totally relate to your Animal Crossing change of heart.

I've no problem with Nintendo Life being a part of this program and I think you guys are handling it well by making everything clear in this statement for those who may doubt your integrity or at least the integrity of your upcoming review. You guys are awesome and I go to you "on the reg" for reviews of Nintendo games. You are one of the few sites to do timely and frequent reviews of eShop games and that is something I value. And lets face it, you are Nintendo fans. I imagine most of us that come to this site are big Nintendo fans as well. Your reviews are honest and informative. And the passion you guys have for games is evident. Keep up the good work!

Oh, and just because I'm cool with Jon getting his Animal Crossing early does not mean I'm not jealous as hell. lol

Nothing for the U.S.? I want the game, but probably won't get it at launch do to my budget being smaller than I'd like. But I will get it down the road. Gotta save my money for Animal Crossing first. I'm getting it at launch for sure. Nintendo has a strong line up of 3DS games this year (with probably more to be shown soon). Now if only they could get some awesome games or the Wii U out... I'm excited for Pikmin 3 & Wonderful 101 but not much else has caught my eye... oh, and the Eternal Darkness spiritual sucessor, Shadow of the Eternals. That looks awesome. I maybe forgetting something. But still, I should be able to thin of more than 3 or 4 games for the console. I can't count how many Xbox games I'm looking forward to this year. I want the Wii U to succeed... but they gotta get the games out there. Wow. Did not mean for this to turn into a rant. It is way to early for me to be up. lol

If the game is as fun as it looks, I'm sold.

Will buy Art of Balance Touch for sure... I'd already been planning on it for some time. May as well save some money.

I thought it was a nice move on Nintendo's part to let the Wii U play Wii games, use Wii accessories and so forth. But if it is really causing people this much of a problem in realizing it is a new system, maybe they should have went with a different name. I never liked the Wii name anyone, so I for one had already hoped they would go with a different name for this console... now it seems it would have been better for them for sure to have done just that.

Been a fan of his for many years. Will be checking out his game for sure!

@R-Moss I upgraded my 3DS & my Wii U with a bigger HDD & SD Card. But I totally agree. They desperately need an account system like Microsoft & Sony use.

I loved this game back in the day. May have to download it for the nostalgia ride!

Someone needs to get to work on a Starfox game! I'd love to see the Starfox franchise grow.

I've played both Keflings games on Xbox (as well as most of Ninja Bee's other XBLA games) and I enjoy them. They are very simplistic. But that is part of the charm. WoK is one of those games I can fire up and just chill, relax and play (much like ToeJam & Earl, Flower or ArtStyle Orbient). You get into a groove of ordering your little Kefling helpers around, mining resources and working towards that next goal. Yeah, there are much deeper games out there (even in this sort of kingdom/town building genre)... but the game is charming, silly and good relaxing fun. It isn't for everyone. And I would not pay a lot of money for this type of game. But as a low cost downloadable title, there is fun to be had for the right person.

This game looks fascinating! Totally on my radar!

@Lobster Agreed. I'd love to see the game hit Wii U. But since I don't have a Wii U yet, I'm also glad it is coming to 3DS

So excited for this. Fluidity was one of my very favorite Wii Ware games and I've been hoping for a sequel. I like the new directions they are going with the focus on character while keeping the core gameplay elements and evolving them. They can take my money as soon as they release this brilliant looking 3DS game.

If they bring it to the U.S., I will be buying it for sure.

Everything I've seen on the game so far looks brilliant. I hope it does make it to the 3DS eShop before the end of the year! I'm sold.
