Sorry @Bolt_Strike, you got a lot of hate in this thread, but I can feel your sympathies. The reuse of games (minus pikman) feels like 3DS titles are getting mundane in 2017. @Anti-Matter I appreciate your perspective too. It was odd to me that in the direct they keep talking about 2017 games but in the end they only listed 3, I feel like they want to show a sales case for the 3DS one more year, until the NX has built some momentum and takes over both Wii U and 3DS, just my thoughts.
@Angelic_Lapras_King Good Point, I guess it worked as well with Wii and Wii U. I guess it's an oddity that Wii U is dying such a hard death, but probably a good thing
@Antray1984 lol to knowing what NX actually is. Before the NX is revealed, there should be a competition to see who can get closest to what it actually is. I thought the IR controller system from the patents was legit but more recently the report about controllers that will replace the wii remotes seems to contradict. Do you know the best place for a list?
@Antray1984 Totally agree, although it would be sad losing the traditional d-pad, however as long as there was another controller that had the Nintendo d-pad that I could use to play old games, then I am cool with it
@Skunkfish It also has a projector for projecting an image on the user hand?! (...1773/0074) Wow if this is the NX, how cool. I do hope that both sides have this feature, although it only looks like one side does
Wow this is so cleaver! There is a camera on the side of the unit that captures hand motions (...2678/0007) and also captures button pushes and dial rotations. With this in mind, I would hesitate to think that the controllers can work apart from being connected to the unit, like I have seen some concepts. Instead, disconnected = unusable. However really really cheap attachments can be made to play a game, could be really diverse.
Those hand gestures are awesome! Imagine playing Mario party! I think this is pretty close to what the NX will be. It's really late in the game that I would not anticipate much would be able to change to meet schedule. Maybe some features removed due to cost
To me this is clearly a sign that the NX controller will have motion controls but not a screen. I'm fine with that. As @A01 suggested, more power can be put toward the game.
@PokeMarioR Agreed, last years Pokemon hunt was the best. Playing pacman on my street and other crazy places has been fun. I wonder where people will find the craziest spot...
Bummer, I feel like my hopes often get let down by Nintendo of late. But this does makes sense. They probably do not have the online space/man power given that their online is free (aka to be used sparingly) to provide these online multiplayer experiences. I think I would have liked one or two games that had an online experience rather than the whole lot we are getting, but that is just me.
This makes me want to make a video game. Nintendo is continually lowing the bar for companies and people to bring their games over to the Wii U. It would be pretty cool to see something you make play on the Wii U.
@JaxonH I did not realize the number of games scheduled for 2014. However I would say that the schedule proposed is a bit optimistic. @IceClimbers is another good attempt, but I think it also is a bit optimistic. What I mean by optimistic is that both show a balance released schedule every month or so. I think the reason most if not all those games are saying 2014 is because they will sadly be released late Q3 or Q4 of 2014. But we will see at E3. Here is how I see it (as I read it from other articles about these games). May - MK8 June - None July - Hyrule Warriors??? (possibly here as a title to fill the summer so that there is no drought of games for wii u, not saying it won't be good, but maybe not AAA, seems a bit hurried in development) August - None September - Bayonetta 2 - "Later this year"
Project CARS - "Fall 2014" October - Fast Racing Neo (eShop) Monolith Soft's X November - Sonic Boom December - Smash Bros - In time for Christmas, possibly Wii u only 2015 Watch Dogs - "2014 release possible" - more than likely Q1 2015 Unnamed Exclusive - Spring 2015 September to November is a guess for me. The only ones I am more certain on are Watch Dogs, Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros, but we will see.
@Spuratis im a little worried about nothing coming out this summer. If you look at the upcoming releases after MK8 its pretty baren till SSB comes out the end of this year. That's 4-6 months of....nothing

Re: 8Bitdo Is Bringing A Wireless Controller Option To The NES Classic Mini
Does it have a home button? Wireless is pointless if you cannot reset from afar.

Looks like a good game, but 3DS swan song anyone?

Re: Fresh Nintendo Patents Reinforce Concept of NX Featuring Detachable Controllers
@Skunkfish Great article, makes me think X1, or 3rd part SoC rather than Nintendo custom chip

Best concept with the above patent

@Skunkfish Also it looks like the screen will be touch, which I was worried about, give me some ease now
