I don't want a pokemon game that looks like this per say, but I would like a game that I can call good looking without attaching "for a pokemon game" to it.
I'm sure the team making it did their best but the heads at Ubisoft seem to have nothing but air where their brains should be. The company going under will probably be for the best, it'll let all the talent and IPs they have accumulated go somewhere that appreciates them.
I share the concerns everyone has over the use of AI, but we need to understand that at the end of the day it's a tool. It all depends on what context its used in and what the final product is. Blowing up every time it's mentioned to be used in any capacity is just hysteria that does nothing but cause mindless shouting.
Not surprising, Donkey Kong doesn't have as much brand recognition as Mario with many in the general public probably unaware he has his own games. The price of the Switch 2 and the game itself also probably hurt it a bit.
@Jamies I remember people saying that about Persona 4 when we were all waiting for 5. I would just give it time, once 6 comes out they'll forget all about 5 and milk that one for a while.
The longer this goes on the more embarrassing it is. The fact that pokemon games at least ran well was one of the reasons people continued to forgive the games looking like they were generations behind everything else and now they can't even say that. I don't normally complain much about graphics in a game, but that's when said game is from a franchise that isn't worth as much. When a series like pokemon continues to look terrible it just feels like they're being lazy because they know it will sell anyways.

I expect gen 10 will be out next year so it's possibly that.

Re: Atlus Officially Confirms Persona 5 Tactica For Nintendo Switch
Give it six months to a year and P3R will probably be on the Switch. The game uses Unreal so it might take a bit longer to optimize for it.
