It's exclusive and makes good use of the -exclsuive- hardware, two of the main reasons for me to buy Wii U games. And it got good reviews... so it's a must for me. Getting it as soon as I can.
I have the 3 previous games and I really enjoy them. Still haven't finished all as these are the type of games I play from time to time, when I have some spare minutes (like waiting for someone). I guess this is one of the series that could work quite well on mobile.
@tsukipon Yes, that confirmed local 2 players, one on GamePad one on TV, is what I'm talking about, but with online, so it can turn 2v2, two at home vs two online.
wow! That was fun! But well, more like splaroller... The team with most rollers almost always won in my case, aiming with guns was strange because of the motion controls, needs more practice I guess. Loved it!
I'm doing fine not using the brake. You need to know the circuit and anticipate the corners so start drifting earlier. If I'm not getting all the stars is because, well, you know, shells and that. That's the fun part anyway!
@tbuck Hey, that's nice. I wouldn't mind having a PS4, or an Xbox One, I like some of their exclusives, it's just that I don't have a lot of time to play so I need to prioritize. And for me Nintendo (Wii U / 3DS) and a PC complement very well. Best of both worlds. I already have a HUGE backlog so it would be crazy to add another console.
I buy Nintendo consoles to play Nintendo games. Should Nintendo release their games for microwave ovens, that's what I'd get to play them. For other games, there's the PC. I don't have a big interest in the few PS/Xbox exclusives.
And I bought CoL just 2 days ago. And after only 8 hours of play I must say I love it. So nice to hear about this... I guess. I don't think it'll make it to the Wii U either.
This may work there, just look how popular things like those pachinko machines are (I said, well, if they like that game... and then I discovered you do nothing! Just put some balls in a bowl ad see them fall!). I like the badgets, but not paying fro them, I already paid for a custom theme and that's about it. It would be great if you could get some in exchange of play coins.
@6ch6ris6 It's not for flexibility, look at the bottom corners of the LCD in the picture and you'll see how part of it is "missing", also 2 other semi-circles in the bottom, this means the LCD can be any form, not just a rectangle/square like we are used to them now.
You have limited understanding on economics it seems. For a product to be profitable it doesn't need to win an imaginary race, it just have to sell in enough quantities to recover costs (R+D, manufacturing, distribution, marketing and so). I'm not saying the Wii U is profitable, just that you can't judge it comparing its sales to those of other products. You can sell the most of any product and still incur in loses and you can sell just a few and return a profit.
EU is not UK, the EU is much bigger, so those that say there's no Nintendo advertisement in EU, should better say in UK, I'm from Spain and I constantly see Nintendo ads in TV, like it's provably one of the brands that advertises the most as a whole, seriously, they advertise a ton, both WiiU and 3DS consoles and games, even third party games are advertised (like Skylanders for Wii U for example).
Now how this works for them, I don't know.
@Quorthon
Sony is right now struggling to survive as a company, they just had to sell both the TVs and computers divisions to stay afloat. And the Xbox has been on life support since its inception and survived just because MS throw piles of money at it (though they might be doing better this time).

@HollywoodHogan He seems busy directing episodes of Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls.

You didn't list it, but Fullblox for me.

@ShanaUnite How can we know?

Re: Parent Trap: Splatoon Is The Perfect Family Firepower-Fest
This game needs local/online 2v2 (two at home, gamepad/tv, vs two online), and 4 players local vs or co-op (with pro controllers).
Re: Feature: The Key Details on Splatoon, Nintendo's Shot at a New Wii U Hit
@bonham2 There's that option even in the demo, you can turn motion controls off in the settings between matches.
So far I've played near 20 matches in the first two sessions and I won't miss the third. Just dropped once in the first. It's a really fun game!

Re: Feature: The Key Details on Splatoon, Nintendo's Shot at a New Wii U Hit
I want a 2v2 local/online mode! 2 players teaming like in 1v1, one on TV the other on GamePad, vs another online couple playing the same way.

About time. The sooner they allocate those resources for the New 3DS the sooner we get it in the west.
