Re: Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels 'Minus World' Has Finally Been Found After Nearly 40 Years

What a cool and somehow surprising discovery! Kosmic knows the game in and out, so he deserves the honor to have discovered it

But it took a while to actually find those worlds. Kosmic says why - bc the arrangements necessary to actually step into those levels are quite complicated compared to the original SMB, where you only have to enter World 1-2 and doing the warp pipe glitch.

Re: Team Cherry Explains Hollow Knight: Silksong's "Steep Difficulty"

First I found Silksong too hard. But after adjusting to the difficulty, it's such a great game! Love the mechanics, the movement, the bosses, the lore, the atmosphere. All of it is just top notch and in a relationship league of its own.

Defeating a boss after over 20 tries (I look at you, Last Judge!) is just the greatest feeling ever 😁

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush (Switch 2) - DLC That's Ripe With Fun, But Could've Been More

Yggdrasill1986

After completing Odyssey in 2017 and the subsequent release of the free balloon mode I was totally blown away by Mario's newest iteration. Same happened to me with Bananza - loved the main game, still haven't done 100%. But releasing a mediocre DLC for the 20€ is a move I thought I'd never see from Nintendo. But here we are now - I'll give that add-on a huge pass.

Re: Mario Kart World's First European Online Event Gets Underway Later This Month

Yggdrasill1986

I have been a Mario Kart fan since the SNES days. Every major Mario Kart on every Nintendo platform was THE go to title for multiplayer ad some quick fun. I played even the not-so-good MK7 on a weekly basis. But Mario Kart World is actually ... boring?

I played all the main cups and all knock out tour cops for 3 stars. I completed many assignments in the open world. And, as a huge player of MK games, I feel bored for the first time in a MK game in my entire life. MKW has nothing that brings me back to it.

I have two main gripes that hold me back to play the game:

  • Online? No, thanks. I hate the intermissions. They are boring and you can't do nearly anything non-item related to propel yourself forward compared to the regular tracks. Why force the players to play the intermissions? Why not let them have the freedom to play how they want? MK8D got that completely right with its many modes and over 90 tracks!
  • Value vs content: For a 80 Euro title MKW feels barebones. The tracks are greatly designed, but why the hell are there only 30 of them?! I paid so much money for the game, yet there are so few tracks! That is just bonkers when you think about how many time they had to develop this Mario Kart and how many tracks MK8 delivered.

It's just a poor value overall. I didn't think Nintendo would underdeliver this much. I don't like the direction this company takes at the moment - and I had every Nintendo major home and handheld console since the NES and the original Game Boy. come on, Nin, you can do better than that! I know the game has potential, so do sth and make the game more worthwile!
