@HammerGalladeBro Probably for its record keeping like if you got a higher score on a song, it keeps track of the date in which you got the high score on. But as someone also mentioned, it keeps track of birthdays too because you get bonuses if it's a character's birthday or your birthday. Not that I'm defending it because Square Enix is one of the greediest gaming development companies next to Activision Blizzard, but the devs forgot February 29th was a thing every 4 years and it's just an oversight.
@Wolfleaf Considering the fact that Nintendo and other dev companies won't be able to earn any revenue off these games by the end of the month, I'd say download Pokemon Picross and just hack the thing. Just make sure to get a big enough microSD to hold any games you want(including old stuff from NES to DS), and format it correctly.
@Eagly I love that SV is finally free roaming, that I can see Pokemon fall asleep or eat an apple in real time. What I don't love is the headache after playing for a couple hours because the sky/distance keeps having a flickering fit and if someone ends up having a seizure due to it, they'll just point to the warning that's on every video game to prevent liability.
@CharlieGirl I mostly agree with this. TPC needs to pump the breaks on how fast they dish out merchandise and TCG. Instead of releasing new stuff every 3 months, they need to start stretching it to every 6 months and give the next generation of games more time to be fully developed so there isn't another SV broken case. That being said, GameFreak needs to either stop bringing in developers that just graduated from college and keep the devs that worked on previous games, or give Pokemon to somebody else to develop the games. These games are inexcusable and Nintendo should be furious that this piece of crap that sells them consoles are in this state.
Still didn't fix the headache inducing flickering in the distance, sky, shadow, etc. Looks like I'm still playing for small amounts of time. Thanks, Game Freak. Really taking advantage of the seizure warnings every game has to prevent liability.
@Friscobay Suspicious in what way? They're the same models as the ones in the garbage mobile game and fried my phone from the inside out. I'm not really thrilled that they're using the same characters due to that, though. Every time I see the black haired guy with the sword, I'll get war flashbacks of my phone burning up in my hand and then dying a painful death. Thinking it was just my old phone, I stupidly tried to play it again on my new phone, which was the latest tech at the time, and the game tried to fry that one too so I uninstalled and never looked back.
@BabyYoda71 I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking it. I could have sworn we never had the vouchers in the first place and I thought I was losing my memory.
@pneumaticgnosis I'm sorry that happened to you. I would be extremely upset too. This is why I don't trust authority figures. They probably took your ramen because they wanted it and claimed there was an illegal substance in it because if there was, you wouldn't be able to buy them off Japanese snack sites or get them in those snack boxes.
As for the game, they probably wanted to ruin your day and are now laughing because their destruction made it online. All it takes is one person having a rough time so they break things and call it security protocol. The case being cracked would have been "acceptable" but they literally ripped up the box. There's no excuse for that.
