Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct #2: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate it?

Wilshiire

I initially was not that interested in another racer, but wow this direct totally changed my mind. Packed with content and the gameplay genuinely looks like a blast. I don’t have a switch 2 yet, but when I do get one I think I would choose this one over Mario kart world.

Everything sakurai touches turns to gold. I wonder if he’ll do the next smash bros or if he will pass the torch. I hope he stays involved. Smash ultimate is peak and will be hard to top but if anyone can do it he can.

Why are comments disabled on the articles about Canadian pre order delay and the analyst sales predictions?

To flat out disable comments on articles concerning a big topic right now for Nintendo fans is surprising. Block comments that violate community rules but this blanket ban on discussion for these types of articles is wrong and as media journalists you should recognize this.

Re: Switch 2 Game-Key Cards Aren't Tied To Nintendo Accounts

Wilshiire

Am I correct in saying that if you buy a game key cartridge, the internet check is only required initially to download the game, and then once downloaded to the system no internet connection is required?

If this is the case, then is it a big deal? I know it’s not ideal, but As long as you download the game from eshop before it is removed in 10 years, you will permanently have access to the game even if they take down Nintendo switch 2 servers because the game data is already downloaded to the system.

Am I missing something?

Re: Switch 2 Games Cost A Bit More Than You're Probably Expecting

@Chibi_Manny Stop coping and rolling over to these prices. Nintendo has made a fortune from switch 1 software sales. Please stop making it sound as if Nintendo is a non-profit and like $80-90 games is an acceptable price. They could easily continue the recently established $70 standard and still be incredibly successful. All we can do is hope the market reacts negatively to these prices and Nintendo is forced to backpedal as they did with the 3DS.

@Rykdrew
This is exactly it. Sony and xbox games may be $70 at launch, but they COMMONLY see steep discounts as early as 3-4 months after launch, often in the range of $30-40. Nintendo games go for 25% off maximum and the sales are few and far between. The console price is high but tolerable but the game price really kills any hype I had for the switch 2. Looks like il just wait a couple of years until the next mainline zelda game to invest in the switch 2.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct For March 2025?

Wilshiire

3/10 for me. The big games in the showcase such as Pokémon and Metroid we already knew about and the rest were pretty lack lustre and would only appeal to a niche audience. How was the big final reveal tomodatchi life lol how embarrassing. Still no windwaker/TP. Unless the switch 2 has an amazing lineup of games at launch clearly no rush to go and get one.
