Re: Review: Clu Clu Land (Wii U eShop / NES)

I've got nothing against them releasing this game, but if they want to make the Wii U virtual console more appealing, they should release their classics first, and then games like this. Nintendo must get their priorities straight (especially when Playstation's similar service has all or most of their "classics") if Nintendo wants to stay in this race.

"Quite why this is the case when other parts of the world have been denied an eShop version we're not sure"
I know this stuff happens but I had a good laugh when reading this.

Anyway, I hope NA can download this eventually, and cheaper than the store version, because the last thing I need is another Wii remote.

Video game movies can be good, if it ties in directly with the plot of the games. Take Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva for example. To understand the end of Miracle Mask, and to understand this sixth one coming out, you basically have to watch the movie. That's not live action, but the point is that the movie should directly tie in to the series, unlike 1993 SMB movie.

I do wonder what the control scheme will be for this new one. People are so divided over "Motion controls or No Motion controls" that it would be hard to make everyone happy.
I propose a Zelda where you can basically have whatever you want in both hands, and use the control sticks, OR the Wiimote and nunchuck. For example, if you wanted two swords, you could equip a sword to both control sticks (or actually, the left one would have to go on the control pad. You still need a way to move). That may sound weird, but think: if swinging the control stick swiftly to the right swung to the right, left for left, up for an up-swinging move similar to Roy's super jump in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and down to swing down. Then you could make all kinds of combo's, like swinging a control stick swiftly up to do a jumpity in the air move and then swiftly down while still in the air to slam down on your enemy and do some major hurt. How awesome would that be?!?!? For arrows, you would go FP style like ocarina of time 3D where you aim with the gyroscope.

"Let me have my opinion" is way overused as an excuse for people to be complete idiots on the internet.
"you keep kneeling over backwards for Sakurai" Its not about Sakurai. It's about SSB. Your reasoning is invalid.
The last I'll say about this is: I feel sorry for you.

I'm not sure how the misunderstanding of "Zelda always puts gameplay before story" started, but that is not the case. Story can make or break a Zelda game. Zelda has always been very dependent on story. For example, Majora's Mask was just a rehash of the gameplay from ocarina of Time, only arguably worse, but it is still considered one of the great Zelda games. Why? It's not because of the graphics(well, when it was released the graphics were good) or sound quality (even when it was released the sound quality was not up to par with many games at the time). It's because it has a deep story.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Miyamoto create Wii sports. The game that broke his own sales record for super Mario bros.(Yeah I know that includes pack-in copies, but still) That means Miyamoto has the two top selling video games of all time. I wouldn't be hating on him for one or two bad games.
