Crisis Core was my first ever Final Fantasy game, and still one of the very few that I've actually played. Not a fan of the voices, especially Zack's, they made him arrogant and I really don't like it. There's something a little off about how it looks in-game too.
The higher quality versions of the original's pre-rendered cinematics look great, and Zack's new VA did do a much better job of his iconic line at the end than he did in the FFVII Remake...
I'm a little sad they decided to completely replace the compilation Buster Sword, they could've explained why Angeal/Zack's had the gold bit on the cross-guard, and that Cloud perhaps covered it up to protect it? But no, they're just replacing it completely.
Actually Bow in Rise is already incredibly good at cutting tails, I do it a lot and it's fun too. It's harder in Hub quests, 'cos of the extra health, but still doable, especially if you have a bit of the Partbreaker skill.
I really really hope this means we'll get properly ported versions of all the old Tomb Raiders (including all the extra levels from the Gold versions, the Times Exclusive level, and the DLC for Underworld and such) to modern PCs and consoles!
Does this also include Blood Omen? I'd love to see the same done with the full Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain games, people need ways to play these without faffing around trying to get them to work properly.
I don't want them to be "remastered" or whatever, I just want all of these to be available and easily playable...
It saddens me that the first comments on things like this are from folks who don't even like the idea of it, and would never have considered playing it even if it was good.
I for one would like to see good games that aren't scared to use this kind of content, or pressured to change by people who aren't even interested.
Ratings boards exist for a reason, let them do their jobs. No one is making you buy them, it'd be nice if people didn't try to pressure people into such ideas. If you don't like people forcing their views on you, then perhaps don't do that to other people.
I like big boobs and I'm not going to apologise for that. If other people don't like that, then that's perfectly fine, but I do take issue with people saying it shouldn't be allowed. Society is weird.
There are real women with big boobs, and if you want to represent that, then go ahead. I don't like the idea of marginalising and ostracising them, and demanding things be changed just because some vocal people don't like it.
Now that doesn't mean that I'm comfortable with playing something like that in front of anyone, because personally I'm not, I'm insecure about that I guess.
People will always judge you no matter what you do, and think you're something that you're not based on one tiny interaction, such as how you look. This mentality is insidious, and we do it to each other all the time, even though we all know that we hate it when someone else does it to you. I wish we'd all be more aware of that.
Crazy that we're getting new courses for this, and so many as well! I'm intrigued to see what the other ones will be.
Though I'd love more characters too... at least add Pauline and maybe like Birdo or something, it's honestly baffling how inconsistent the rosters are for these spin-off games.
I would've liked to see more added to the battle mode too though, such as more old battle courses, and things like shine runners or something.
1. Rathalos is a Boss and an Assist Trophy 2. The Mii costumes were in SSB4 as well 3. The release of Rise and incoming release of Stories 2 as well as these Spirits gives the series even more exposure
If anything I'd say this is more likely to be gearing up for a reveal. The things that I would potentially count against it are that Palicoes/Cha Cha/Kayamba aren't Assists when they could've been, and Byleth having some moves that are sorta Monster Hunter-adjacent.
It's entirely possible to me that they could be working to implement some of the new moves from Rise, like some Wirebug stuff.
Monster Hunter has a great presence on Nintendo hardware, and huge potential to be a fighter with all the moves and weapons spanning the series.
I don't necessarily mind if it doesn't happen, as there's already so many characters that could be in that aren't, but I do think it'd be a missed opportunity.
I really wish companies would just figure out already that cloud gaming will never be mainstream until they put serious investment into the infrastructure first!
Fast enough and reliable enough internet for this purpose just isn't available for whatever audience it is they're trying to target. Plus the requirement of many powerful servers to host all this on, and then when it doesn't work out they'll just pull the plug and all those games go away.
It strikes me that it's not very well thought out in general.
The loading times are long for the kind of game this is, I really dislike the internet requirement for earning Wumpa Coins and viewing the "in-game" shop. I played it in split-screen multiplayer for the first time about a week ago, the performance was playable, but notably worse than single-player, and after a few races the game crashed.
I still played it a lot, and I've enjoyed my time with it, but from a performance standpoint, I would've greatly preferred if it had been ported by specialists like Panic Button.
Darn, I bought and completed Risky's Revenge on PS4 just last month!
Got the original Shantae on my 3DS (made liberal use of the Restore function, wonder if that'll be an option on Switch?), Pirate's Curse on Wii U and 1/2 Genie Hero recently on sale on Switch. Haven't got Seven Sirens yet though, but I probably will at some point!
Might still keep an eye on this, depending on the price.
Enjoyed the original on DS quite a lot, might be one of my favourite games actually.
Got the Switch version and played it in co-op with my little bro and we had a great time, I'm glad he got to experience it too! Don't know what people are talking about with the controls, worked fine for me and my bro. Amazingly the Switch version is still at 1.0.0 and has never had any updates.

Re: Falcom Shares Concept Art For Next Ys Game, Partially Inspired By Soulslikes
If people here haven't played "Ys III: Oath in Felghana", then you're doing it wrong That's the first one I played on PSP and I loved it.
I've played Seven on PSP too, but never got round to playing any of the others, too many games on my backlog still

Thanks Square Enix, I hate it ;-;

Re: Three Brand New Monster Hunter Rise Spirits Are Being Added To Smash Bros.
I don't see how this would de-confirm anything.

Re: Rumour: Is A Tomb Raider Collection Coming To Nintendo Switch?
If they're putting them all in, then they better also include all the extra bonus levels/DLC such as:
Unfinished Business
The Golden Mask
The Lost Artifact
The Times Exclusive Level
Beneath the Ashes
Lara's Shadow
Having a properly released collection that includes these extra exclusive levels would be pretty cool as it's not easy to play them these days.
