Metroid: Great game, but it needed the save function Super Metroid: a classic Metroid Fusion: Good game Metroid Other M: great game, but I got to an unfair boss
Nintendo relies upon its own franchises to survive, and boy does it have many of them. They also reference their older games to have its games appeal to all generations. Third parties found Sega, Sony, and Microsoft more attractive because of this.
The only games I have planned for download in the future are Game Gear, Game Boy Color, and maybe a few others here and there. No major titles except for maybe Kid Icarus.
The color selection hopefully means that Nintendo will update the Game Boy Color games to have a custom border with a GBC in (default) teal and several other colors. Yellow, being a Pikachu version, would likely cost extra.
Nintendo probably wants its own 3DS Pokemon title. This is an "expanded edition" of sorts. I agree, however, that it's too late to be doing this. Come next year, no one is going to want a DS game.
Ok, I heard that the reason you start with six hearts is because the game is harder. Is this true? Also, do they compensate by having the game be longer?
WHAT IT NEEDS Things to run into for no reason A bar level where you have to be 100% accurate or you die Music that has nothing to do with the film and loops endlessly throughout the game A black shirt to replace Marty's jacket
Sony originally had Crash and Spyro, but after awhile those ended up on other consoles. Kingdom Hearts is almost exclusively Sony, but CoM is on GBA also. They do still have the revolutionary and phenomenally popular (despite being ever disappointing) Gran Turismo series.
Microsoft has the Forza series and for awhile the PGR series. They now own exclusive rights to Conker and Banjo-Kazooie, among other Rare-exclusive titles.
Regardles, Nintendo has more successful and exclusive franchises than Sony, Microsoft, and Sega combined. And look at Ninty. They have more success than the award-winning, superphotorealistic games hyped up by the media.
@Imagine23 I agree with that. Nintendo has established lasting franchises, and is even trying to resurrect some. Compare everyone else, who are spewing forth new game after new game.

I've given up on swapnote. It's boring.

Re: Rumour: Donkey Kong 3D Swinging Into View
Donkey Kong 3D better be based on the arcade game.
Re: 3D Classics: Kid Icarus
@mushroomer: It's even worse. We're never told the release date. It's just speculation until it actually comes out.
Re: Review: Metroid II: Return of Samus (Game Boy)
1Up gave this game a D+. Well, they can go live in Sonyland, then. Idiots.
This game is awesome.

They're coming soon, not up yet.

Re: Nintendo: "We Refuse to Succumb to Patent Trolls"
LOL the first time I saw this I thought it said "parent trolls".
Re: March's Club Nintendo Rewards Are Up Now
I already have Radar Mission, and the other two don't appeal to me.
Re: Feature: The Desire for Physical Media
The advantage of digital is no cartridge or disc wear. Plus, no having to set up your systems.
Re: eShop Game Size Limit is 2GB
My Wii SD card is way beyond that. I wanted to make sure I had enough room.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)
The game feels like Majora's Mask: save points, harder, sidequesty.
Re: Aonuma Drops a Note About More Zelda Titles
3D Classics: A Link to the Past would be nice, although I already have the GBA version.
Re: Hulu Plus Arrives on Wii
I've added the channel to my SD card page for channels I'll never use.
Re: This is How Game Gear Games Will Look on 3DS
The Lynx will come when the Jaguar comes.
Re: This is How Game Gear Games Will Look on 3DS
The Game Gear was awesome. Think of it as a handheld Master System.
Re: This is How Game Gear Games Will Look on 3DS
The SGB borders would be tight, provided they can provide the LADX border without removing the color.
Also, they should have all the Game Boy Color games use a GBC border (except for LADX). The border should be customizable (change the color, etc).
Re: This is How Game Gear Games Will Look on 3DS
Oh, so this is Europe?
Re: European 3DS VC Gets Game Gear Next Month, Too
When will they come to North America? I want to play Columns again so badly!
Re: This is How Game Gear Games Will Look on 3DS
IN MARCH?!
I can't wait to relive my childhood!
Re: Now GAME Pulls The Last Story Completely
I don't get new games from GameStop. I get them from Target.
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February 2012 (North America)
When will we get Oracle of Ages?
Re: Ex-Rare Staff Talk Nintendo, Microsoft and Where It All Changed
As Star Fox Adventures is 5% Star Fox, is it at all possible for the game to be re-released onto the Wii U?

Re: Next Smash Bros. Development Starts with a Look Back
Get rid of third parties and bring back Pichu, Roy, Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, and Young Link.
Re: Review: Back to the Future: The Game (Wii)
WHAT IT NEEDS
Things to run into for no reason
A bar level where you have to be 100% accurate or you die
Music that has nothing to do with the film and loops endlessly throughout the game
A black shirt to replace Marty's jacket
Re: Super Mario Bros. for Ambassadors Just Got VC Features
I love it. Should make it easier for me to beat the game.
It looks like the same type of save as Sonic Classics Collection.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Ambassador Update Hits North America
What are restore points?
Re: Pokémon Director Teases Something for Sunday
HOPING FOR
Pokemon Lightning Yellow
Pokemon Crystal Clear
Re: Nintendo Considered a 3D Screen on Wii U
The 3D on the 3DS sucks. Who needs it elsewhere?
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th February 2012 (North America)
We lost R-Type for the Master System but not the Turbografx. No loss.
We lost TMNT but gained Strider. Makes the VC better.
No worries.
Re: Review: BurgerTime World Tour (WiiWare)
I'm curious about classic arcade games, but would like modern versions that I can relate to. Should I get this?
Re: MYST is Drifting Towards 3DS in Europe
I don't know whether I have the patience for Myst, but I'd love to give it another shot.
Also, updated versions of Myst include:
Myst: Masterpiece Edition
Realmyst

Re: Sami Cetin Sets New Super Mario Kart World Record
Rainbow road has no runoff. I suck at it.
Re: Review: Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy)
I have the first two games, but already have WL4 via ambassador. I'm not a big Game Boy fan.
Re: Review: Strider (Wii Virtual Console / Mega Drive)
This is a good replacement for TMNT.
Re: Rumour: Japanese Developers Moving from Vita to 3DS
Sony has sucked since the PS2 was released.
